Morning Folks.

TerriBull Sun 20-Jan-19 09:52:05

Good morning from a sunny south east. GC here for the weekend until this evening but son is taking them over to friends, which will give us an opportunity to relax with the Sunday papers. Quick shop at Waitrose this morning, not a lot planned after that, cooking a roast for everyone later and then hopefully a quiet evening with Les Mis.

Have a good day all.

Good morning from Birmingham, where the sky to the east looks as though it is brightening. Late for me this morning- had one of those nights. Coffee in the arts centre with friends this morning. I’m going to make a chicken tagine for dinner.

Greyduster Sun 20-Jan-19 09:32:49

Good morning, Gransnetters. Very late for me today. Gs extremely cold and damp in South Yorkshire. We may get some sleet. I am icing a cake today for DDs birthday and but apart from that I have no plans. I have a book but it’s so good I don’t want to finish it. Roast chicken later. Have a good Sunday.

A late good morning from a frosty but bright East Northants. Enjoyed a lovely evening at a golden wedding party. But for some reason I can never unwind and sleep after being out in the evenings. Must be all that dancing! Have a good Sunday everyone.

Good morning all from Aberdeenshire. There's a glorious sunrise, a bit of blue sky and some fluffy cloud. The pheasants are shouting at each other and I can see four buzzards hovering over the forest on the opposite side of the river.
Yesterday's Burns lunch was fun and there was good, traditional music and songs.
Nothing special planned today but might start sorting the she'd if it isn't too cold.
Enjoy your day everybody!

Morning everyone.

From sunny, chilly Kent. Nothing planned today, a lazy morning with the papers,

Good morning, Bore Da.
Dry and cold here in Mid Glamorgan. Could do with a bit of that Australian sunshine for my arthritis right now.

Going out for lunch later, a real treat and DS is paying ?

kittylester Sun 20-Jan-19 08:58:29

A late (at least for me!) Good morning from a bright North Leicestershire. It doesn't look like rain over here dragonfly.

Bit of wardrobe sorting today then roast pork with cauliflower/ and broccoli cheese, roasted carrots and potatoes.

Enjoy your days.

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Hope everyone has a good day x

Good morning NanKate, Annie and all. Up early, for me at least, tablet taking on Sunday. DH is 'driving' the AV at Church this morning and wants to get there promptly, to see if any more gremlins are lurking in the electrics!
BlueSapphire, I had a boiled egg yesterday fro breakfast, and it was lovely. Not had one for ages.
Aggie Ii just loved the idea of planting out your snowfalls smile
Have a good day one and all

Susan56 Sun 20-Jan-19 08:31:53

Good morning all.Very foggy today in North Shropshire so probably won’t venture very far today.

BlueSapphire Sun 20-Jan-19 08:30:32

Good morning all. Very frosty here in Northampton. Just wondering what to have for breakfast - I really fancy a boiled egg, but there is pate in the fridge that needs using up. But can't move at the moment as a cat has taken up residence on my lap!
Off out to lunch at a country pub today to celebrate DD's birthday which was yesterday. Will probably have the roast dinner.
Looking forward to next episodes of Midwife and Les Mis this evening.
Hope everyone's day goes well.

Brunette10 Sun 20-Jan-19 08:28:31

Good Morning everyone from a dampish Fife but acceptable. Over-slept today but I'm not surprised been very busy over the last few days. Off out this morning for breakfast with friends for catch up, then back to do some needed chores from our visit yesterday from DGS's.. Hope all is fine have a good day.

harrigran Sun 20-Jan-19 08:27:39

Good morning, cool but dry here in the NE.
Nothing planned for today.

Grammaretto Sun 20-Jan-19 08:26:38

Good morning all from cold damp Scottish Borders. An eventful journey as our car broke down on our way back from the north yesterday on the busy motorway. Thankfully the AA and the police got us safely home.
Still a bit shaky today so taking it easier than usual.

EllanVannin Sun 20-Jan-19 08:23:24

My D lives just outside Sydney, ScotinOz.

ScotinOz Sun 20-Jan-19 08:11:55

Good evening everyone from a much cooler Sydney.

Had a lovely day out today in the city. Met a friend, went to a Rolling Stones exhibition, then had a couple glasses of wine while people watching ?

Take care everyone

Pittcity Sun 20-Jan-19 08:08:37

Good morning from frosty Colchester.
DH woke me early to ask where his passport was as he needs it for ID today. We have kept them in the same place for years but he always has to ask..... I crawled back under the duvet as soon as he went out.
I will get up soon and go for a walk as I love sunny cold days.
Roast Pork this evening.

NanKate Sun 20-Jan-19 08:00:11

Hi Mary my ploy to get this thread going is to type a very quick first message and then follow up with my usual message. Soon we won’t have to be worried about double threads as our Mick will be back.

I am in virtual Melbourne Rufus watching the tennis, it’s great.

EllanVannin Sun 20-Jan-19 07:58:33

Good morning NanKate and All x

Yes Mick is missed isn't he ? I do sympathise with him not being conversant with his Win 10 laptop. I know how he feels !

Still very dark, cold but dry as I stuck my nose outside to let the cats out.

GGS paid me a visit yesterday, so lovely to see him. He's a twin and his sister was at her friend's house. They both become teens in June so a big milestone for them. He's enjoying geography and history at the moment so I'll set him some tests when he comes again, mean or what ?

Hope all is well with everyone.

Rufus2 Sun 20-Jan-19 07:55:17

Evening All; Another sunny, warm day23C; Stay cheerful! Good Health smile

Marydoll Sun 20-Jan-19 07:46:48

Good morning all from a cold Glasgow.
Thanks, Kate, for starting the thread, I' was up early, but was terrified that someone would start it at the same time.
Twice in the last week this has happened and I have had to ask GN to delete. blush
We are off out to McArthur Glen near Ediburgh today. DH needs golf "stuff" and there is a huge EWM on the route, so he can browse to his heart's content.
I need NOTHING, but that won't stop me looking for bargains.
I hope everyone has a pleasant, peaceful Sunday.

dragonfly46 Sun 20-Jan-19 07:42:31

Good morning all.

Planned a walk in the woods today with a friend but I believe it is going to rain so may go for a coffee instead.

Oh and going to sort out undies drawer and try and match up those odd socks!

Gagagran Sun 20-Jan-19 07:40:02

Good Morning everyone!

It's a chilly start here on the south coast but we are promised sunny spells today. The daylight is lengthening now and things are stirring in the garden - I even have flowers from last autumn still going strong.

I managed to carry on with my slow and steady tidying and de-cluttering corner - just a bit each day is making a difference.

Hope we all have a good day and that Mick gets his Windows 10 sorted! sunshine

aggie Sun 20-Jan-19 07:35:11
