BlueSapphire Sat 19-Jan-19 09:14:48

Good morning all, grey but dry in Northampton.
A good time was had at rugby last night; we demolished the opposing team by 111-3! Even though it was bitterly cold I was nice and toasty in my thermals. The red wine helped as well!t
Not much planned for today, will probably pop out to the shops. Must wish DD happy birthday ?. Won't see her today, but we are all going out for lunch tomorrow.

DoraMarr Sat 19-Jan-19 09:14:13

Good morning everyone from a cold and cloudy Birmingham. I’m having my tea in bed, courtesy of my partner. No hospital today, so I am going to do some shopping and have lunch with a friend. Anniebach, I hope yesterday’s session was beneficial.

Auntieflo Sat 19-Jan-19 09:13:23

Good morning Annie and all. Grey and cold here, and am still not up yet, but will have to stir my stumps soon. Meeting friends for coffee later, as usual, then maybe a bit of shopping.
Have a good weekend folks.

Morning Beechnut and all.
Mil passed away last evening just 6 days after Fil, so sad but DH was with her at the end.

Not raining here now but heavy rain last night in South Wales Coast. Have come back to bed with a cuppa. Steeling ourselves before ringing friends and relatives again to tell them of our loss, which we only did on Monday, feels like Groundhog Day.

I hope GN's have a happy and peaceful weekend.

oldgaijin Sat 19-Jan-19 09:04:39

Good morning from grey Aberdeenshire. It's my daughter's 43rd birthday, so shall ring her in a minute once my tea has brewed.
Am going to a Burns lunch today...Hope the speeches don't drag on as I need to take my laptop to get sorted. Windows 10 has got its knickers in a twist...again. Have a good day all.

Mapleleaf Sat 19-Jan-19 09:02:55

Good morning
It's grey and cold here in South Yorkshire. We had some snow showers last night but none at the moment, though looking at the sky, there's a chance for that to change.
DH got home from work earlier and when he opened the door there was an icy blast, so if we do go out later, we'll need to wrap up warmly.
I hope you all have a good day. ?

Greyduster Sat 19-Jan-19 09:01:29

Good morning, Gransnetters. Cold, grey and damp in South Yorkshire. We had a flurry of snow yesterday. I really should go into town today but I am loathe to leave DH on his own. He is still not moving very well. I thought there would be some improvement by now. We’ll see how the day unfolds. Have a good day folks.

Good morning all. Dry chilly day in East Northants. Quick trip to Waitrose and then a quiet day before tonight's golden wedding anniversary party. 50 years with the same partner is quite an achievement - I never managed more than ten! ?

Anniebach Sat 19-Jan-19 08:57:52

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Not going anywhere, not seeing anyone.

Heavy rain in Mid Wales.

Hope everyone has a good day x

Good morning from a dull and overcast Black Country.

Taking 2 of my DGD's (7 and 10) to the local Panto (Dick Whittington) this afternoon. So it will be a walk into town, lunch then the show! Although it is not a professional show, they are always good fun.

Then a relaxing evening I hope.

Have a good Saturday everyone.

Looks grey and cold out of the window in Surrey today. Walking to the shop for papers in a bit then family coming for brunch. I need to finish some on line work training later then can do as I like so lazyish day later. Have a good day everyone

harrigran Sat 19-Jan-19 08:41:43

Good morning, overcast but dry here in the NE.
A quiet day with the newspapers for me.
GD's computer, three weeks old, malfunctioned and we had to return it to the manufacturer yesterday. I guess sometimes we are just unlucky.

Pittcity Sat 19-Jan-19 08:30:45

My phone had yesterday's morning thread open as well as this one so I posted on the wrong one.....confused

Good morning from a cold Colchester. It dawned bright here but the clear blue sky is beginning to cloud over and sleet is forecast.
DH is out so I think I will be lazy and catch up on TV and reading. We are finishing up fridge and freezer oddments so no shopping needed.

Gagagran Sat 19-Jan-19 08:08:54

Morning all! Dark and damp and 5degreesC here on the south coast. (Don't know how to do the degrees sign!)

DH is going out with his bike club this morning and I shall be pottering again. Nothing special, just sorting out some more "stuff" - where does it all come from?

Hope Mick gets his computer sorted out and is back with us pdq and that we all have a good day. sunshine

NanKate Sat 19-Jan-19 08:07:43

Morning Beechnut Kitty Mary and all the Good morning folk.

I thinkMaw said Mick will return to us on Monday or early next week.

Grey and cold in South Bucks, I prefer it sunny and cold.

Off to the Garden Centre that has an Edinburgh Wool shop within in it as I want to try on some of their trews. I like soft feeling trousers, jersey, rather than jean type trousers and I think they sell them.

Have a good weekend folks.

PS I don’t know what has been said about the Black Country but my grandparents lived there and when I visited the Black Country Museum a few years back it reminded me what a lovely sense of humour they have.

NfkDumpling Sat 19-Jan-19 08:06:13

Morning All

The outside thermometer is just under 0 degrees and there’s a very thin layer of ice on the pond. An apricot sunrise - very pretty!

Nothing planned for today apart from a walk to the shops to buy a paper. Lazy days.

Maimeo Sat 19-Jan-19 08:01:03

Morning all from quiet dark Wicklow. Very few cars going by on main road outside. First morning this week I was hoping to sleep a little later but of course I’m awake! grin So pleased to read Mick is ok and hopefully we will hear from him soon. Ironing and a visit to MIL in NH for me today. Meal out tonight with friends after rugby match. Have a good day, Gransnetters

BradfordLass72 Sat 19-Jan-19 08:00:39

Good morning everyone. I just had a lovely day with my moko (Maori word for grandchild). We baked flaky pastry cinnamon rolls and pigs in blankets; watched Time Team on DVD, read lots of books on history and mysteries.
Wonderful!
It's 9pm now so tired and happy, I'll go clean up the kitchen a bit then lie down to listen to a cowboy book, 'The Mustangers'.
Have a good day y'all thanks

cornergran Sat 19-Jan-19 07:58:03

Morning All from a grey and damp corner of Somerset. Didn’t manage a food shop yesterday so will venture forth this morning then really must tidy our dumping ground of a spare room. Hope Saturday is kind to everyone.

TerriBull Sat 19-Jan-19 07:56:29

Good morning from a grey south east. Up early this morning as grandchildren are staying with us from yesterday after school until Sunday evening. It's cold but will have to come up with some outdoor activities, hope to do a long walk in Bushy Park sometime today.

Have an enjoyable Saturday everyone.

Marydoll Sat 19-Jan-19 07:52:30

Good morning all from a cold Glasgow. We had a sprinkling of snow last night, but thank goodness most of it has gone!

Bits and bobs to do today and then we have DGD this afternoon. We are so looking forward to her visit!

Enjoy your Saturday, everyone.

Grammaretto Sat 19-Jan-19 07:45:46

Gòod morning all. Not yet light in Aberdeenshire . 0 degrees according to the weather app. More snow play today perhaps with DGC. We went to the ballet yesterday. Scottish Ballet are doing special short performances for tiny children. suits me too

Gymstagran Sat 19-Jan-19 07:41:31

Morning everyone. Thanks to Doramar and NanJan for their support yesterday. Sorry Rufus if the name Black Country upsets you. It's very dark and looks too cold to venture out yet. May venture to the gym later.
