Good Evening All; "IT"S RAINING IN MELBOURNE" Joy of joys! No watering this evening!
33C earlier, but cooled off to about 25C with the rain. grin
Pleased that Mick is OK, but one thing puzzles me. As we all know, OZ is a relatively young country and quick to adopt technical innovations. e.g. all public libraries are equipped with desk top PCs and WI-FI for BYO laptops.
All anyone in a similar predicament needs to do is nip down to their library, or simply phone GNHQ and save needless fretting. As a newbie, like some newcomers, I don't know much about Mick. A short CV would be appreciated All I've been told is let Mick open the thread first and not to take advantage of time-zone diffs! confused

Good morning, NanKate and all GNs. Sure Mick will be back with us soon.
It is very cold in South Yorkshire this morning. I woke up with a stiff shoulder, DH’s back is no better. We wouldn’t make a good ‘un between us! Nothing much to do today fortunately. Have a good day folks.

Good morning, zero here at present and I am still in bed with my cuppa.
Did a big shop yesterday in case the weather gets worse.
Windows 10 is best bought pre-loaded on a high spec computer, you need a lot of RAM for it to work effectively.

Good morning from a below freezing Colchester.
Housework and shopping today.
I have far too much costume jewellery that never gets worn Gaga , might follow your example and add it to my ever growing charity bag.

Morning all! Haste ye back Mick!

It's as cold as we've had it this winter, here on the south coast, but set to be a sunny and bright day and gradually warming up. Rain promised tomorrow though!

I plan to continue culling my "stuff" today starting with my earring collection. I only wear fewer than half a dozen pairs so they can be drastically reduced in number.

Not sure why I have suddenly got this urge to reduce my possessions - hope it's not a bad sign!

Hope the day is a good one for us all. sunshine

Good morning from a dark and frosty East Northants. Pleased to hear that Mick is ok, good work Maw! Ten pin bowling with U3A this morning, they are a great bunch of people and I always enjoy it. Keep warm everyone.

Good morning from an extremely cold and frosty Northampton.
Glad to hear all is ok with Mick.
Had a very lazy day yesterday which I thoroughly enjoyed, caught up on a lot of recorded tv yesterday afternoon. Didn't even have to cook as there was enough pasta bake left over from Wednesday, so just reheated it.
Hairdressers this morning, then school run in the afternoon, and an earlier tea as I am off to rugby this evening; will be putting my thermals on!
Hope we all have a good day.

Good morning from totally dark Aberdeenshire. I'm staying with DD and DGC.
We built a snowman baby yesterday. I don't think it will have melted today.
Relieved to hear it's only the computer Mick
Hope your hospital appts are not too bad DoraMarr.

? to Maw

Quite right dragonfly, it is very dark in Leicestershire and quite cold too.

Good luck at the gp today. We have now been waiting 2 weeks for Dh's urgent appointment.

Dd3 and Wolfie are here for the day so I am a very happy Ma.

Beechnut Fri 18-Jan-19 07:17:25

Good Morning all

Still dark here and doesn’t feel too cold.

Good bit of google work by Maw. I did something similar to find my relation when she repeatedly did not answer her phone. She lives many miles from me.

Good Morning all so far and of course to those who follow. Very glad other that Mick is just having computer problems, I'm sure he also has missed us ( hope so)! Frosty here in Fife today but expected. Have a very busy day, going off to the big city to complete our newly decorated small bedroom with a certain brand of Swedish accessories to accommodate our DGS's. Hope everyone is well and you all have a good day.

Good morning from a very dark Leicestershire.

Taking DH for an urgent appointment to GP this morning.

Yummy. I had a fish, or rather half a fish in batter for mine. I may eat the rest tomorrow.
News on the Forum about elderly 97 year old Prince Phillip's crash asking should there be age restrictions.

But here, even pre-schoolers drive apparently!

Good morning everyone from a dark but mild Birmingham. Early hospital appointment today, then my partner is coming to lunch. Fish and chips sounds great, Kate, perhaps we’ll just do that.

NanKate Fri 18-Jan-19 07:01:17

It is wonderful news to hear that our own Maw has tracked down Mick and it is his bloomin Windows 10 which has kept him from us.

He will no doubt start posting when he is back online.

Dark and cold in South Bucks.

Going to persuade DH to take me out to a fish and chip lunch, I’m fed up with cooking.

NanKate Fri 18-Jan-19 06:58:01
