Sounds about right to me and if you have adult visiting DGCs there's alcohol to add into the equation as well. shock

Looking at the list I think you got off light with 3 adults and 5 children.

We've just had (single dad) son and 5 grandchildren to stay for a week - so lovely and such fun! But oh my word! Where do they put all that food? We live very remotely, and so do a shop rarely - I filled the pantry/fridge/freezer before they arrived. Glancing at the supermarket receipts, I see that they consumed the following: 16 loaves of bread, 5 dozen eggs, 8 litres of milk, 2 kilos of cheese, 1 kg yogurt, 5 kilos of sausages and a heap of homemade burgers on the barbeque, with a dozen burger buns, 5 kilos of chicken legs, 6 freshly-caught snapper straight out of the sea, 1 kg prime mince, 1 kg butter, a large fruit cake, a dozen banana muffins and 40 wholemeal choc chip biscuits (all homemade), 4 lettuce, 6 broccoli heads, 2 cauliflowers, a cabbage, a huge bag of homegrown potatoes and at least 8 kilos of tomatoes from the garden, 3 kg oranges, 1 kg fresh apricots, 1 kg sweet potatoes, 4 red peppers, 6 avocados, spring onions and carrots in salad every day, a litre of cream, 2 litres of icecream, 4 litres orange juice, a tub of drinking chocolate, plus "treats" (the usual...)
They are very active and energetic, and permanently hungry! No wonder my son is perpetually broke! Is this normal?? smile
