Good morning all. Hope things are ok with Mick. Sad to hear your news, 1inamillion.
I slept in this morning too!
Off to yoga at 9am, and coffee afterwards. A few jobs to do around the house this afternoon as DBiL is coming tomorrow and stopping over.
Hope the day goes well for all.

MawBroon Mon 14-Jan-19 08:32:00

Wot, no Mick?
Hope all is well with you and it is just Windows 10

Lovely sunny morning here in N Bucks and the birds are singing their little hearts out.
Won’t last - we are a long way off Spring yet - but the possibility is definitely there...smile

NfkDumpling Mon 14-Jan-19 08:31:31

Morning All

No sign of Mick yet - hopefully he’s pressed the wrong key on Windows 10.

A clear start to the day here in Norfolk, but it must be chilly as passers by are all hunched up and walking briskly!

We’re picking up DGD2 from school today. It’s a first and I find myself unexpectedly excited!

(((Hugs))) to 1inamillion and flowers

Good morning all, from a cold damp Glasgow.
It's a bit concerning Mick's not here, but like others, I'm hoping Windows10 is the problem.
I had a restless night, I dreamt was a contestant on Bake Off. It was in my own kitchen and I had to share it with a lady, who looked very much like you, Kitty. (It must have been that photo you posted yesterday on Soops kitchen. grin )
I'm off out early to pick a parcel up and then some sewing alterations. The sleeves on everything I buy are always too long.?
1inamillion welcome and flowers.
I hope everyone has a pleasant day.

Good morning from a bright, mild Colchester. Must've been windy last night as recycling was on the other side of the garden.
Walking Netball is back today and I really need the exercise.
Hope Mick is OK and big ((hugs)) to 1inamillion.

Haven’t been here so early in the morning, hello all. I haven’t been sleeping well for sometime now. Have triedprescribed tablets, worried they would be addictive, herbal ones don’t work. Now resorted to CBD oil still no luck Any suggestions welcome

Grammaretto Mon 14-Jan-19 08:06:34

Morning all from dark but quiet Scottish Borders.
I hope Mick is Ok. Maybe it's
to do with Windows 10?
Sorry to hear your sad news 1inamillion and hope you cope with the days ahead.

Gagagran Mon 14-Jan-19 08:03:01

Good Morning all! I am late this morning having had a much needed and very unusual for me lie-in!

Wonder if Mick's" Windows 10 has messed up his computer good and proper? Hope it's not anything more personally concerning.

It's laundry day chez-gaga and I need to nip to the library this morning (not open this afternoon). We have another mild and pleasant day here on the south coast so it will be nice to get a bit of fresh air.

Hope the day is a good one for us all. sunshine

Greyduster Mon 14-Jan-19 07:59:28

Good morning, Grans. Shock horror! No Mick! Hope he’s just having a lie in. Clearing sky here in South Yorkshire. DH has an early GP appointment this morning. Some cleaning for me and then I will sort out some collage bits and pieces for GS. School run later. Have a good day folks. Sorry for your loss, Lina; a sad time for you.
C’mon Mick!

Brunette10 Mon 14-Jan-19 07:56:29

1inamillion - so sorry to hear your very sad news, it is never easy no matter what age. It is strange without Mick hope everything is ok. It is frosty here in Fife today and colder than yesterday. Have doctor's appointment this morning re mouth again, probably no answers though. Hope everyone has a good day.

ninathenana Mon 14-Jan-19 07:54:38

Welcome 1inamillion
Sorry to hear your sad news.
I think that's a figure 1 rather than an L at the start of your name ??

1inamillion Mon 14-Jan-19 07:54:12

Nannytopsy Mon 14-Jan-19 07:44:34

Good morning all. Sorry to hear your sad news Lina. Just about to drag myself out of bed - chores and ironing today.

kittylester Mon 14-Jan-19 07:42:38

Morning 1inamillion, sorry to hear your news and about your DD. You might be better to start a whole new thread - people usually just come on this thread to post about their weather and plans for the day.

NannyJan53 Mon 14-Jan-19 07:41:10

Sorry to read your news Lina. thinking of you and your family at this very sad time flowers

NannyJan53 Mon 14-Jan-19 07:39:16

Good Morning Kate Kitty Nina and everyone to follow.

I hope Mick is ok, hopefully just overslept!

Monday walk this morning with 'Walking for Health' group. Partner is working from home today, as he has a follow up Hospital appointment of his Operation last September, when they tried widening his Oesophagus. Doesn't really seemed to have made much difference though. He still finds it uncomfortable to swallow foods.

Have a good day everyone.

dragonfly46 Mon 14-Jan-19 07:39:07

Good Morning everyone. Hope we hear from Mick soon!

So sorry to hear your news Lina.

1inamillion Mon 14-Jan-19 07:35:10

Good Morning Gransnetters. Fil passed away on Saturday evening, he was 94 and in hospital. My mil who is in the same hospital recovering from pneumonia had her 94th birthday on Saurday. They had been married for 71 years.
Whilst my husband,DS and I are sad our DD is really struggling, they were really close to their grandparents. The hospital staff in both their wards have been marvellous and I can't praise them enough. They were wonderful yesterday when we went to tell my mil the sad news.
Thanks to Willow10 for the tip on how to post here as mygransnet email comes in late.
I know that many Gransnetters have been through this situation, I'm in bed and dreading the day ahead.

ninathenana Mon 14-Jan-19 07:19:25

Morning Kate and everyone.

I've been waiting too. I was relieved when I saw the thread as I assumed it was Mick I hope your ok Micok
Just getting light in Kent. Quiet breezy but fairly mild for January.
Have a good day everyone.

NanKate Mon 14-Jan-19 07:17:18

We better keep things going till Mick joins us Kitty.

Dark and chilly, even though they say it is milder in South Bucks.

Off to my first Keep Fit of the year missed last week. I am a bit reluctant ?

kittylester Mon 14-Jan-19 07:13:45

Morning kate, great minds! I was just going to start this thread too.
