1inamillion and GrannyIris, I would suspect that the morning email goes out at the same regular time to all of us. The regular posters don't wait for it.
We all wait for Mick to post, usually some time after six and then post after that.
I usually go into Last Hour to find it.
There is a lot more to GN than the posts on the daily email. Good luck!
.

Thank you Willow10 will try that. ?

Willow10 Wed 09-Jan-19 14:46:34

Lines million - I just sign in to post on the good morning chat, at any time. I'm sure you dont need to wait for an email?

Good Morning to All,

This is my first post here, this site is just my ticket. I have been enjoying reading the articles and commentary.

By the way it is dreary and wet here too, I am posting from Canada. We are all in this together so be happy and thankful for another day. Make it a great one!

Welcome narrowboatnan! You sound cosy. I love the sound of rain when I’m inside snug and warm. I used to have a conservatory and the rain battering on the roof always sounded soothing somehow.

narrowboatnan Wed 09-Jan-19 10:26:38

Good morning. Mind if I join you? It’s raining here in the Fens. The fire went out last night, DH has relit it but I’m staying snug and warm in bed while I wait for it to warm the place up. Propped up on pillows browsing Gransnet and listening to the sound of the rain on the boat roof. Have a good day all xx

Morning everyone from North Devon. It is sunny 6C with blue skies and the occasional wispy cloud skidding across the skies. Will be hitting the garden later today.

1inamillion Wed 09-Jan-19 10:14:51

Morning everyone. Beautiful blue sky and frost on the lawn here on the South Wales coast. Defrosted the freezer yesterday and threw the ice on the lawn, it's still there.DS is flying to Copenhagen from Heathrow this morning, was very worried last night with that drone sighting. Just a little moan now - I wouldlove to post messages earlier but the Gransnet email always comes through later for me, this morning at 9.32, does anyone know why/have the same problem??

DoraMarr Wed 09-Jan-19 10:07:52

Thank you for all your good wishes!

Nelliemoser Wed 09-Jan-19 09:39:08

A late good morning all.

I was up and out at 8am to take OH to his Drs appointment. he is still being careful with after a bad case of Bronchitis and is staying in doors with this very cold air, I just have a streaming cold.
Feeling miserable.

Auntieflo Wed 09-Jan-19 09:31:30

Good morning Mick, Annie and all. I completely forgot to ‘sign in’ yesterday ?
Very frosty when I woke today, but lovely and bright. Nothing much planned, but I would like to start making a chair cover.
DoraMarr, best wishes with the radiotherapy. I had no ill effects from mine recently, so hope you are the same.
Annie, here’s hoping your eye test goes well, and you don’t need new specs.

Feelingmyage55 Wed 09-Jan-19 09:25:37

Frosty here. Beautiful red skies. DoraMarr ?

MawBroon Wed 09-Jan-19 09:19:49

Good Evening Mick and All Sickies! Had a lovely day out at the seaside, 23C, courtesy of the Council's OAP social inclusion prog; door -to-door service. Annie was our coach driver. Phil our volunteer guide and me were the only blokes! The fellas don't know what they're missing by being no-shows. I mean, what could be more relaxing than a trip to the sea-side with a harem bevy of lovely ladies? For a male that is! grin
Btw. Where does all that ironing come from in these enlightened times? I haven't used one for ages and wouldn't know how it works! confused

Good morning GNs, from a very bright, sunny, frosty and beautiful morning in the Morecambe Bay area of Lancashire. The (low) sun appears today as a huge glowing ball - stunning! (As opposed to being a wee blot between the clouds, as it has on recent dull/grey days.) Wishing you all a happy day ahead.

Urmstongran Wed 09-Jan-19 09:01:53

Good morning everyone from a breezy but sunny Malaga. I had a night of very vivid dreams in which I felt quite apprehensive. I was glad when I woke up!
All best wishes DoraMarr for this afternoon.

DoraMarr Wed 09-Jan-19 08:56:37

Good morning from a bright and cold Birmingham. I slept in until 8.30- odd, because I was expecting a restless night before my first radiotherapy appointment this afternoon. I’ll do some shopping this morning and buy something really delicious for tea, then an early lunch and off to the hospital. I hope everyone has a good day. Have fun exploring windows10 Michael!

Anniebach Wed 09-Jan-19 08:54:43

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

I have an eye test today, in my house, The Outside Clinic.

Hope everyone has a good day x

Morning all
Bright, sunny and cold in Hampshire. Having a day at home trying to have a de-clutter, we seemed to have accumulated so much stuff, so got boxes for Recycling, Charity Shops etc
Have a good day all and take care

Mapleleaf Wed 09-Jan-19 08:51:05

Good morning.
It's a brightish looking day so far, with patches of blue showing through. Very calm, still and chilly. As I type, the birds are busy feeding from the feeders then diving back into the hedge for cover and warmth.
A pottering day today, although I do plan to fit in a brisk walk as I feel in need of a bit of exercise.
Hope you all have a decent day, and willow10 I hope you find the hall warm enough. If not, I agree with you, put in a complaint! ?

NfkDumpling Wed 09-Jan-19 08:44:17

Morning All

Bright and breezy here in the north of Norfolk - and 4C on my nice new outside thermometer.

A day in today as there’s a pile of ironing and a second load of marmalade oranges sitting in the kitchen - under the heap of washing up I didn’t get around to doing last night.

loopylou Wed 09-Jan-19 08:37:36

Good morning everyone from frosty north Wiltshire, it's definitely chilly here! I'll need to scrape the ice off the car before popping into the village for a few errands this morning.
