Yes I know it doesn’t take much to puzzle me now and yes I know they ve been round a while and I should be used to them but does anyone else have problems converting the low energy light bulbs to the old wattage
I don’t have to change them very often as they last longer don’t they? but when I do I get in a muddle I have a light bulb out at the moment so looked at my spares for the equivalent of an old 60w as the lampshade I have is only up to 60w that’s another thing I find it hard to find ( in the high street stores) a lampshade for 100w bulb
Anyway I have in my store some 11w which on the box it says are 52w but when I looked on a conversion charting google it gave 10w as 60w which would make 11w about 65 so how would that work in a 60w lampshade ?
Is it me ?

I think I may need new lampshades now.
Plus the hall needs a coat of paint!

What about trying to put new bulbs in those teeny flush to ceiling spot lights that electricians love to fit? I have two monster boxes of light bulbs: large screw, small screw, large bayonet, small bayonet, candle bulbs, bulbs for cooker hood, weird bulbs for an IKEA lamp that cost a fortune: I NEVER seem to have the right one in stock when one blows. What about some standardisation? And should I start a new thread on gadget chargers? One for phone, one for Kindle, one for iPad, one for toothbrush: I could continue...
