Ah dear - why does getting older equate to diminished brain power?

Good morning all,
Having a lazy morning. Just had breakfast. Visiting daughter, son in law and granddaughters this afternoon. Always enjoy seeing them. Hope you all have a good day.
Lovely day in Aberdeenshire Mild and bright. Afternoon out for lunch and a bit of shopping with daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter.
Hello and welcome to Mrsh60 and Tillybelle.
I hope you will enjoy joining in with the good morning forum.
DH and I had a lovely day out today, going to Filey. It was so mild!
We thoroughly enjoyed watching the many dogs having great fun on the beach running into the sea to collect balls (real and imaginary) and running back to their owners full of eagerness and expectation! One dog amused us greatly. He/she was sniffing around a small rock (small football size), just where the waves were breaking on the beach. We thought he must have found something interesting underneath it, as he worried at it continuously. But no, what he was doing was moving it about until he could get it in his jaws. Once he'd succceeded in doing that, he ran up the beach carrying it in his mouth (it must have been heavy), and deposited it next to his young owner who was busy building a sandcastle. Had DH and I in stitches!!??. His owner seemed oblivious to what his dog had done, however.
Dogs adore the seaside, don't they?
Hello to both of you. You are most welcome! ☕or ?, help yourself! If it was the Argy, you were visiting, poteen would be on offer...unless they have drunk it all again.
.
Hope to see you posting tomorrow morning.
As i'm a late arrival, I shall say, Good Night All!
It's a wee bit early for bed - 7.15pm but I am thinking about rounding off the day with the usual little chores.
It has been very lazy today. I haven't been able to do much physically as the pain has been bad all day. I shall go to bed and spend a bit of time watching TV,
Good night everyone, and sleep well when the time comes!
Hello everyone,
My first message here: clearing up all day after a fantastic panto party last night. Gradually getting the house back in order including a much needed snooze in the afternoon. All this with my partner’s lovely family. I’m afraid my own family is much more problematic! Love to all...
Nice to see you back, Artols.
Good Morning! Bright but chilly here in Northern California. Going to take the dogs for their Sunday run on the beach later today. First time I’ll have been out for a couple of weeks, since I’ve just recovered from a horrible cold, so I’m looking forward to the bracing sea air!
Dull and mild here in Brum. I've just forced myself to go for a walk to try to walk off the Christmas excesses. It was very pleasant out there.
Good afternoon all from the East Midlands. A bit dreary here but dry after overnight rain. Am thrilled to see one (just the one) snowdrop in my front border!
Have done my weekly shop - the first really normal one after the dental surgery. Did the ironing earlier so now I'm going to put my feet up with the newspaper.
not so good morning sunday. missed church today because of hacking cough....just a cold but always get a nasty cough afterwards....thought i would catch up on emails etc. havent been online for a week.just been reading and watching dvds........and playing spot the intro 1970's game...think my brain gone rusty.
Good afternoon, I've been up since 8.30, foggy when I got up then it cleared up but came rolling back in. Clear now but still grey here in Devon. Lazy Sunday with the papers, doing crosswords & Sudoku. Have to put re-cycling out later , 3 more weeks before collections are back to normal!! Tomorrow I will venture out to the shops, today just a typical Sunday.
Good morning all
Grey and dull in Somerset but hey we've been Christmas shopping! All next years Christmas cards purchased, together with four packs of thank you cards and some new decorations for the tree. I can't remember ever being this organised – only trouble is I will probably forget where I put them by the time Christmas comes around again.
Mrsh60, welcome!
This is always a plesant, lighthearted supportive thread. Feel free to dip your toe in the water.
Hello everyone
I’ve just joined so am “dipping my toe in the water” as it were. I’ve read all your posts and you seem a great bunch of people so hopefully I’ll be allowed to be in the “circle of friends”?
Good morning all xx
Grey and dull in SE Essex.
No plans for today other than clearing out the fridge!!!! Considering taking down Christmas decorations but have just arranged for a dear friend to come for lunch on New Years Day and a “sleepover” so shall leave them up until 12th night.
Wishing you all a peaceful Sunday and hopefully those with troubles may they be solvable.
Good morning all from Berkshire. Dull and dampish, but stirred my stumps to take a walk beside the Thames, gentle and uplifting, lots of busy birds. Have a good day, all.
Good morning all from Cambs. It’s a little grey here today. Mentally preparing for a vet referral visit for our beautiful Labrador tomorrow. He was diagnosed with having Lymphoma 2 days ago. Not looking forward to making that “decision”, as my husband is away.
Good morning all!
Flying home from Lanzarote after our lovely Christmas break! Blue skies here at the moment, I’m sure it’ll be a shock when we arrive back ?
Looks as though we are lucky with the weather here in north Cambs! Lovely sunshine! Grandchildren out early walking the dogs. Changeover day here! Some of the family who came for Christmas going home and some others coming for New Year. Lucky me - I’m here for the whole Festive Season which I much appreciate as its my first without DH who passed away in the Spring. So wonderful to have a caring family - as many of us have!
Morning all, from a very dull Hampshire.
Trying to get energy and enthusiasm to take doggy out, after a very late night at friend’s party!!
Have a good day all
Good morning
It looks slightly breezy outdoors. About to venture out shortly so will then know how cold it is.
DH and I are going out for a little trip out somewhere, blow the cobwebs away!
Hope you all have a nice day.
Good Morning from a grey Black Country!
We are off to Stamford area today, to spend the New Year with my friend who moved there last year. Looking forward to it, as we have only met up once this year, when she joined us at the Glastonbury Extravaganza in August.
Will be back on 2nd January.
Wishing all of you who are not well a speedy recovery. Have a good Sunday everyone.
Good morning Michael and all GNs. The sun is shining in South Yorkshire but it is cold. My back is a little better - I can get about, but I hope it improves through the day, as GS is here for a sleepover tonight. His father is running a long race in the Peak District tomorrow and mum is working, so he is stuck with the grands! Grandad has a new jigsaw, and is going to teach him to play cribbage. Exciting, eh? Have a good day folks.
