I'm mindful of when some smart-alec TV execs thought it would be good idea to create a TV series of the Goon Show. (Sorry about the analogy, but it's apt!) After years of listening to radio broadcasts we had all formed our mental images of Bluebottle, Eccles, Col Bloodnock. etc. I've forgotten (fortunately) how they were depicted on TV, but it was a disaster. Thankfully CDs of their radio progs as presented by Wallace Greenslade will last forever. Sorry, but all you tall, sophisticated slim, blondes will be no more, in my mind at least, as more info. comes to light!

None of the posters were the same as my mental image, for instance I imagined Baggs as a little old lady, when of course, she is nothing of the sort.
