It can come and go as far as I'm concerned.

Like most I have partied and enjoyed NYE but now I usually just watch a DVD and have a couple of drinks. I will try to stay up to see in the new year but if last year is anything to go by I will be in bed by 11.00! I think the New Year's Day lunch is a great idea

Not been a party animal, on any night of the year, for decades Lemon! The only New Year's Eve I've stayed up for in recent years was last year when a friend hosted a board games night and I had trouble staying alert to do that! I'm looking forward to going to bed and reading one of my stash of books this year and hope to be asleep before the fireworks start.

We used to enjoy NYE with friends, dinner at each others houses, plenty of drinks and the fireworks at midnight.
Sometime in the last three years it has become more an ordeal, so last week we all talked about it, and the others admitted it had become more and more difficult to stay up celebrating, when they really longed for ‘cocoa and slippers’
We all laughed and then decided to see everyone for a nice long lunch on New Year’s Day instead, which we will all enjoy.
So glad we talked about it when we did! Anyone feel the same or are you still a party animal?
