Good morning Mick and all to follow.

I've been awake since 5 am grrr. Nothing to do with DGC who are still sleeping soundly. Nothing planned for today, the GC are going to their uncle's tonight but will be back here over N.Y.
Have a peaceful day everyone.

Good morning from Wellingborough again. Still dark here and very quiet, DGDs fast asleep.

Lots of fun yesterday,as we played family games together.

Looking after DGDs today, as their mum and dad go back to work. Elder DGD performing in panto this afternoon.

Not sure yet whether to go home this afternoon or tomorrow morning, will see how things pan out.

Hope it's a good day for all.

Morning Mick, morning nina, morning all.

Its still dark in Morecambe but I can tell it's not not raining. Just having a brew before we start packing to come home.

We are visiting my aunt and my cousin on the way home. We have discovered that we get on really well. Loads of wasted years down to Mum and her peculiarities!.

Good morning everyone from Essex by the sea, still dark outside. Awake early again this morning. We are off to the shops later to see if there are any bargains to be had.
Hope you all have a lovely day.

Gagagran Thu 27-Dec-18 07:21:40

Good morning all! It's dark but quiet here on the south coast and the outside temperature is 4.5C.

We are setting off shortly to go to stay with DS and family in Essex and having a second Christmas with them. Looking forward to seeing them so much!

Hope the day is a good one for us all. sunshine

harrigran Thu 27-Dec-18 07:28:30

Good morning, 6 degrees and calm. Been up since 6.30, lot of car doors slamming so neighbours must be back to work today.
Nothing planned for today, will just see what happens.

Brunette10 Thu 27-Dec-18 07:33:11

Good Morning from a dark and damp Fife. All quiet outside at the moment. No definite plans for today will see what the day brings. Some shopping to do but that's it really. Will have a quiet and relaxing day. Will get all the Christmas pressies away. I hope everyone has a good enough day whatever you end up doing.

DoraMarr Thu 27-Dec-18 07:45:19

Good morning from a dry and mild Hackney. I’ll be going home to Birmingham this morning after spending Christmas with my daughter and family. We had a lovely afternoon at 5he Hackney Empire yesterday for a performance of “Aladdin.” My twenty month old granddaughter enjoyed every minute!

Willow10 Thu 27-Dec-18 07:53:34

Good morning from a dark, quiet East Northants. Caught up with the Christmas day recordings yesterday. Off to the shops today to see what bargains can be found and enjoy a cappuccino today. Hope it's a good day for everyone.

Good morning all from a grey and misty Buckinghamshire. Well, finally slapped some icing on the cake yesterday...nothing like being prepared! It'll do for Hogmanay.
Must finish packing to go home...am looking forward to being back in Aberdeenshire. It's been a lovely week but there are just soooo man people here.
Went to see the new Mary Poppins film yesterday with all the family...it's very good but a tiny bit too long.
Shall greet you from the far North tomorrow. Enjoy your day everyone.

Pittcity Thu 27-Dec-18 08:08:34

Good morning from a grey skied Colchester. Still tucked up in bed as we had a late night catching up on recorded TV and have no firm plans today.
We need to food shop as we have no leftovers, except chocolate we received as gifts.

annsixty Thu 27-Dec-18 08:11:43

Good morning all from Stockport.
My D has just left for the drive down to W Sussex.
She has been with me since Sunday, I must now settle down to living on my own, I have never done it in 81 years.
It is not life on my own though, which is a difference , I will still visit myH in his carehome.
This morning I and a carer are taking him for a hospital appt which may bring some unwelcome news.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Yesterday was the only time I can remember not posting on here - it was all a bit manic! It’s a grey day in South Yorkshire but we are off later to DS’s for another long manic day, and more food. Am I awful just to want to sit in front of the tele? Have a good day, folks.

NanKate Thu 27-Dec-18 08:14:58

Good Morning Mick and All from a slightly misty Sussex, or are the windows mucky ?

Helping DS declutter his house at the beginning of his new life with our DGSs, new beginnings we are all so much happier, hurray.

Greyduster Thu 27-Dec-18 08:17:00

Ann and NanKate??

NanKate Thu 27-Dec-18 08:20:11

Thank you greyduster. Thinking of you Ann virtual hug coming your way.

Good morning Mick and all from a balmy Glasgow, it's 9 degrees here.

An easy day today, I've made bread so I don't have to go out.

In the past, I would have been one of those people looking for bargains in the Boxing Day sales, now I'm happy to just chill.
I expect DD and finace will make an appearance, looking to be fed. grin

Kate, I'm glad you are feeling brighter and Anne, my best wishes for you and DH today. flowers.

Those spending time with family, enjoy!

Good Morning from a dull but mild Black Country.

Will have a walk on the Clent Hills today, to blow away the cobwebs and burn some of those extra calories!

Sar53 I lived in Essex for a year in the 70's, a village called Thorrington. My son was born in a small hospital in Clacton on Sea. He is 43 on Saturday!

So pleased you have re-connected with family kitty hope you have an enjoyable visit.

flowers for Ann and NanKate and everyone who is going through challenging times.

Wishing everyone a lovely day.

David1968 Thu 27-Dec-18 08:54:01

Good morning GNs from the Morecambe Bay area. Here it's dry and dull, with mild temperatures. DH & I are busying ourselves in readiness for a friend coming for a cuppa. Wishing you all a happy day ahead.

GrannyGravy13 Thu 27-Dec-18 09:09:34

Goodmorning from SE Essex ??

It is trying to brighten up outside, no real plans for today, probably just potter around. Cannot face the shops, no need to buy food as we are still well stocked.

Need to go to Chelmsford or Bluewater to exchange a sweater bought for me by youngest S and DIL, they said that they knew I would love it, they were of course correct. I had bought the exact sweater for myself the week before Christmas!!!!!

Might make a turkey curry later?

Wishing you all a peaceful day and those kitcheners with illness and troubles may you find resolution soonest.

EllanVannin Thu 27-Dec-18 09:10:35

Good morning All x.

Was quite dark until gone 8 ( network went down )--again !!
Not complaining about the temperature so far though as cloud is keeping it higher than normal.

Had a good 8 hrs last night which is surprising as being peckish at 8pm last night I cut a chunk of M&S pork pie and had potato/onion salad ( home-made ) pickle and bread and butter and thought it would lie like a tombstone but had the opposite effect. Bed at 11 and that was it until 7am. So there you are.

Another turkey roast today to finish off the crown ( my 3 day limit for food ) and anything else before binning it.

Have a safe journey to those returning home after the break and those awaiting medical results I hope they're not as bad as anticipated.
We've all survived Christmas so let's get over New Year now.

Anniebach Thu 27-Dec-18 09:15:48

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Hope everyone has a good day x

Grammaretto Thu 27-Dec-18 09:23:29

Almost bright here in the Scottish Borders. This could be because I have slept in.
Expecting more family from Down South today. Turkey soup anyone?
Hugs for annsixty and NanKate and all who are going through difficult times.

Mapleleaf Thu 27-Dec-18 09:50:09

Good morning everyone.
It's trying to brighten up a bit here, too, in South Yorkshire now, but not sure how long it will last.
We went for a lovely walk around the grounds of a nearby country house yesterday. It was so nice to be out getting some fresh air and excercise. Lots of other people had the same idea - much better than going to the 'sales' to spend more money!!
We had another go at Christmas lunch as DH felt much better, so we had cold cuts with all the trimmings followed by the Christmas pud tchgrin.
A quiet day planned today.
flowers for annsixty and Nankate and anyone else going through a difficult time.
