Making Your Own Roller Blind ....

Hi everyone

I am thinking of making a roller blind to cover the glazed area in my kitchen door, the idea is that it will match the roman blinds I have made for the windows in my kitchen. However, while I'm pretty good at sewing and DIY in general, I've never made a roller blind before, and wonder, a) how easy is it to do, and b) if any one has made their own, what the BEST fabric stiffener is to use?

I'd be really grateful for anyone who has any experience with this sort of project.

Thanks in anticipation.

I’ve done this many times in the past, when it was the cheapest way to use lovely fabric to cover a window.
The kits usually come with easy to follow instructions, but I would add, measure very, very carefully and check more than once. A spirit level helps when fitting into the window frame.
I seem to remember that the kit suppliers also sold the fabric stiffener.
