Good morning everyone. Warm but overcast but I couldn’t persuade my DGS that he didn’t need hat, scarf and gloves.

Another late good morning everyone.

School run again today which means no iPad until I get home so we can concentrate on each other through breakfast and chat. But I went straight to the shops from school, stocking up for the imminent increase in family numbers from three to seven.
Sending best wishes to all who are unwell and caring for the unwell.

Morning all!

Did a bit of sale shopping on the net. All arrived yesterday and this morning was try on time. Disappointing to say the least but I am managing to retain a few items for my very tired wardrobe. It used to be said 'the camera cannot lie' but these items received were a very poor reality of the illustrations which caught my eye. Back to the PO but at least returns are free.

Bright grey but acceptably mild with me. Might manage more tidying in the garden. Hope everyone has a least one bit of joy in their day.

Urmstongran Thu 06-Dec-18 10:24:20

Good morning everyone. We are home from Malaga and back in a very rainy Urmston for Christmas. As well as seeing family & friends it’s so nice to enjoy different foods here. Just had hot buttered crumpets - yummy!

Good morning all, it's a bit miserable here in ES, but I'm off to London with my DD to winter wonderland. I've never been before so I'm very excited. Happy Thursday to you all smile

NemosMum Thu 06-Dec-18 10:04:50

Morning Mick and everyone! It's grey here in Newcastle, but the rain has stopped (at last!) Been a bit under the weather for a couple of days, but rallying now. Will do wrapping and cards, I think, while I'm recovering.

Sar53 Thu 06-Dec-18 09:27:02

Good morning everyone from a grey Essex by the sea. Haircut later this morning then supermarket shop. I've come back from a week at DD1 and the fridge especially is very bare. I'm not sure what OH eats whilst I am away !! I'm going to put the tree up this afternoon.
Feel a bit low after a hectic, but enjoyable week with 3 DGD'S. I won't be seeing any of my 5 DGD'S til after Christmas now and OH having a big operation next Monday.
I hope you all have a happy Thursday.

Good morning from a dreary but mild south east. Up early this morning John Lewis man came early to measure up for bedroom blinds, we were given a window of 8 am to 12, and I certainly didn't expect to be first call of the day shock still in dressing gown when he arrived, at least my husband was dressed. Nevertheless, good he's been because don't have to hang around now.

Off to Marks food shopping and my local library to take some audio books back.

Picking up granddaughter from school pm to take her swimming and then back to ours for sleepover.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning
Grey and mild here at the moment. It’s supposed to be mainly dry today with occasional showers possible. Still a lot drier than yesterday!
Meeting friends this pm, this morning pottering.
Glad to read you are feeling much better today mick and you too, Rufus. Those temperatures are a bit too hot for me, Rufus but your dinner sounds nice. tchsmile

EllanVannin Thu 06-Dec-18 08:38:16

Good morning All x
Dark damp but unusually mild here in the NW.
My three cats were quietly sitting in line waiting for their breakfast and it looked so comical. I started singing to them the first tune that came into my head which surprised myself.
The song ? " Oh sweet Polly Oliver " Where on earth did that come from ? Going back to my childhood !

Hope all is well with everyone.

dragonfly46 Thu 06-Dec-18 08:28:05

Good Morning all.

Coffee with friends this morning then taking my mum to local hospital for X-ray. She may have broken her foot. Let’s hope it won’t mean a trip to Leicester.

Enjoy meeting up with your friend Kitty. I met up with a lot of old friends this year.

Pittcity Thu 06-Dec-18 08:27:48

Good morning from a grey skied Colchester. Very mild here, no chance of ice Rufus.
DGS2 is here for the day and he has a cold. The Calpol is beginning to kick in so I am off for a game of dominoes.

Brunette10 Thu 06-Dec-18 08:24:14

Morning everyone and to those who follow. Fife is dark and damp at the moment, think it's to be like this today. Woke up with splitting head this morning and quite an achy body, not sure why, I certainly hope I feel better as the day goes on. Had great time yesterday with DGS1 at the festive sing-along. Will see how I feel today before making any plans. Glad you are feeling better Mick. For those feeling under the weather, look after yourself, Christmas will be here soon wink

Gagagran Thu 06-Dec-18 08:23:03

Good Morning everyone!

It's very mild and damp here on the south coast. Lots of standing water around too.

We are back from the supermarket trip and await the arrival of Fred the painter who is going to start on the woodwork today, having finished the emulsion. I love the coloured feature walls. DH is still not sure but I think will come round!

Have a good day everyone.

harrigran Thu 06-Dec-18 08:21:10

Good morning, dark and damp here.
I have been told to attend a diabetic prevention programme and the first session is at 10am.
I wrote 75% of the cards yesterday and disposed of all the unwanted books, just a little more tidying then the tree can go up.
Special thoughts for the sad and poorly GNetters.

Auntieflo Thu 06-Dec-18 08:15:00

Morning Mick, Annie to come and all others.
Where did Wednesday go?
Glad your back is feeling better Mick.
We are off later to deliver gifts for our DD to deliver to DGD and family. They are the only wrapped presents and writtten cards , so far done.
It is a funny pink sky this morning, so wonder what the weather has in store today.
Enjoy your meet up with your with an old friend KittyL
This afternoon I may get DH to help tackle the loft ladder and retrieve the decorations, and sort them out.
Have a good day one and all.

oldgaijin Thu 06-Dec-18 08:09:29

Morning all from a soaking wet Aberdeenshire...the deluge has returned. Am planning a mega bake today for nearly 300 kids booked in to Santa's grotto over the weekend, in aid of Barnardos Scotland. Our helpers group do this every year and is hard work, but great fun! Hope everyone's aches and pains are improving...Mick, have long, hot soak in the bath to ease the bruises after your fall.

Greyduster Thu 06-Dec-18 08:05:26

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Going to be dry in South Yorkshire. There was a spectacular sunrise this morning but my phone camera wouldn’t do the business and it was too cold to go and get the other one! Dentist for me this morning, then a visit to my neice and the school run to follow! Marydoll we have gone totally over the top with GS too!!? Have a good day, folks.

Marydoll Thu 06-Dec-18 07:56:59

Good morning all from a rainy Glasgow.
Glad you are on the mend Mick.

A day of pottering about and sorting out the Christmas presents I have been collecting since January. grin
I think I may have bought DGD too much.

We have the nursery run this afternoon. It brought back memories on Tuesday when we got there, as I did my very first teaching practice a hundred years ago in this nursery.
How things have changed. It is now a brand new purpose built centre, just opened a few months ago.
DH was totally unsurprised when I met people I knew, one gran I hadn't seen since primary school! What was amazing was we went to school in a different town from the nursery. He had to drag me away.

flowers for all those suffering on GN, so much sadness just now.

Enjoy your Wednesday, all.

NanKate Thu 06-Dec-18 07:54:13

Morning Mick and All.

Cloudy and mild in South Bucks.

So pleased you are making a good recovery Mick.

What fun Kitty, there is nothing like old friends who can share memories with you.

Rufus I haven’t heard the word purler for many years, it really takes me back.

Off to meet my friend for a fish and chip lunch.

ninathenana Thu 06-Dec-18 07:52:23
