Breezy here in SE Essex

Started putting up Christmas decorations yesterday. Have put a 3 foot real tree in GS’s bedroom hope he loves it when he comes home later ??

Shall write Christmas cards later, hopefully.

Popping down the road for a late breakfast/brunch with Mr GG later.

Morning Mick, Annie to come and all others. I was up early and the tea maker this morning. Having started these tablets last week, and Sunday is the designated day. So, the chicken is in the slow cooker, basted with soy sauce and tomato puree for colour. It may be ready at lunch time, if not, we will have it tonight.
I sympathise with the road works Mick, they seem to be all around us as well. Coming home last Thursday, the bus had to divert and miss our town centre, as a car and bus had collided and the bus engine caught on fire.

Morning all , dark , damp but not as cold , shopped yesterday for something to break up our long hall ,still muddled. Got a tall disply unit and a small table ....somewhere for keys , gloves etc hope it looks right

Good morning everyone, from Northampton, where the clouds are breaking up and the sun just rising.
Stayed in bed till 7.30, despite the cats sitting on my chest! Now enjoying a tea with a dark chocolate digestive.
Not a good day at rugby yesterday, 'nuff said.....
Will have a lazy morning with the papers, then will set to and write my Christmas cards, as I always do on the first Sunday in December.

It looks beautiful here this morning here in Letchworth.There are shades of pink and grey against a lighting and hopefully brightening sky.
Christmas songs dancing in my head after the concert i attended yesterday in our local Free Church. Two hours of sheer happpiness and joy!!! Off to see one of my sons and his wife this morning for a coffee and a catch up. Then on my way home popping to the local garden centre to pick up a gift for someone which i finally decided upon. Hoping to get into town too for a couple of items i forgot yesterday.Then my plan is to cook a roast chicken dinner and put my feet up and finish knitting some slipper socks one of the ladies at the knitting group asked me for.

Sorry Maw, I meant to say that I hope you have a really lovely time at the Nutcracker. Do let us know how DGS gets on.

Good morning from a not quite light south east. Gd got us up early, I thought she'd lie in tired from swimming yesterday but sadly no 6.30 again! I'm still in my dressing gown looking out the window in the living room, it's all looking a bit grey and cloudy and somewhat wet. One of her pals is having a birthday do, so dropping her at a cinema party this morning, whilst we do some food shopping I've been instructed to get a joint of beef for dinner her preferred choice of roast, before we take her home this evening.

I hope you enjoy the Nutcracker MawBroon I remember my parents taking me to see that over the Christmas period many years ago, it's a lovely ballet, particularly for children.

Overcast and damp with a light southerly breeze here in the north of Norfolk. And unseasonably warm. It’s starting to feel a little worrying, is the sun getting closer?

Nothing planned for today so I might start to tackle the spare room.

A pottering about day for me and trying to catch up on the chores I have been neglecting whilst I've been unwell.

I'm going to try making Yorkshire pudding for the first time in my new oven. Fingers crossed.

Morning Mick, morning All from a dark, damp corner of Somerset. Don’t think it’s raining now but the puddles say it hasn’t long stopped. Writing cards today then some of the family coming for a roast and to offer technical advice on the new tv gizmo. Let’s hope they speak slowly in non technical language. Hope Sunday is kind to everyone.

There seem to be roadworks everywhere at the moment mick.

North Leicestershire is dry and mild at the moment.

We are thinking of hitting the shops today - it has to be done sometime.

Been up since 5am thought it was the middle of summer I was so warm even the cats wanted to go out and play.
Very still weatherwise and of course unusually mild.
D popping in sometime today in between working and I could do with hoovering right now but I'll wake the neighbourhood.
