All good friends and jolly good company.
Welcome and thank you all for your wonderful company.
dragonfly ??
Charleyg Dear Tara. I imagine that she rues blesses the day Maw offered to share her home with her.
So you say. Are we talking about the so-called painkillers that are grown in Galen's loft.
Tut!
Panache Sit yourself down and relax. You've had sufficient excitement for one day. My next dental appointment is in early new year. I could do without that to look forward to.
Dragonfly You are constantly in our thoughts. An enormous, gentle group (((hug))) is winging it's way to you.
I shall say farewell until tomorrow. Take very good care of yourselves. You are VIP's.

Galen and Bellasnana I am shocked - bit not very!
Maw are you encouraging you know who? Norty!
dragonfly46 I shall be thinking of you tomorrow. I am at a funeral but will pop into the kitchen when I get back. Try to get some sleep tonight
I don’t think Gaken or Bellasnana need any encouragement from me!
Dragonfly you will be in my thoughts tomorrow ?
dragonfly all the very, very best for tomorrow. We are all rooting for you.
soop the painkillers put smiles on the faces of Galen and Bellasnanna
I am hoping that stop out will come home soon because I would like to batten down the hatches, sort out my supper and watch mindless TV. I only want to be informed once Parliament has made its mind up, possibly the 29th March next year. If it is BJ I will be emigrating very soon.
What’s this bandying about with my name? I’m not into illegal drugs, nor painkillers. I’m a real goody-goody. The only drugs I take are my happy pills to keep me full of the joys of spring
PS. Chatleygirl, what is this cabin of which you speak? Our Galen only travels in a suite , complete with personal butler.?
Bellasnana it is only what I gleaned from the newspaper. They may have missed she travels 1st class- they were only interested in the drugs.
Good thing Hattie has her Irish (pet) passport.
Am I entitled to apply for Irish citizenship on the back of it?
Best wishes for tomorrow dragonfly.
Just remember that if you see any empty chairs on the way in, there's a virtual GN friend sitting there in every one to send positive vibes.
Oops! Fat finger syndrome - apols, Charley for putting a t instead of an r in your name.
Those two who were arrested on their cruise were pensioners. Actually, in the UK I would have to be working for another five years to bear the title of pensioner.
Flippancy aside, I too am holding dragonfly, morethan, Panache, and all of you who are going through the mill, in my thoughts and prayers. Best wishes to you all.
dragonfly good luck tomorrow. Hope all goes well.
Hope you get your tooth sorted too corner
panache hope you have had a better day today.
galen and bella hope you two mis behave on your cruise. The kitchen has a reputation to uphold you know.?
morethan thinking of you. Hope all is ok.
Evening All. Just back from a night time NT house visit, very pretty with a huge, beautifully decorated Christmas tree in each room.
Thank you for the good wishes panache. I must have misled you, t-day is Saturday. I know how to live at the weekend
. In any case your good wishes are appreciated and will keep. I hope you have been resting, you sound to have had a tiring day.
Drugs! Whatever next. Good job I’m not easily shocked - especially at charley’s wooden spoon.
.
More good wishes from me for tomorrow dragonfly, you’ll be in my thoughts. Hoping there can be a peaceful night, at least try and rest if sleep is elusive.
Some of the family coming for tea tomorrow. Really will need to get organised in the morning as they are a picky bunch. Oh well, haven’t poisoned them so far and if they are hungry I guess they will eat. Some more are due on Friday for an overnight stay, fortunately they eat anything. Phew. Lovely to see them all, just wish I could emp,y a cook
Sleep well everyone, look after yourselves.
Tribunal tomorrow, then I’d better start packing on Friday, otherwise it’ll only be what I’m wearing and a string of pearls!
Galen we have heard that before! And remember “This weed that I found in my garden is really good for my aches and pains” is not a viable defence!
Best wishes for tomorrow Dragonfly x
I am also sending best wishes to dragonfly for tomorrow. Also hugs and
to anyone else who needs them.
I collected OH from the hospital this evening, he is on two sticks for the next six weeks.
My 3 year old DGD is still very poorly, doctor not sure what is wrong, thinks it may be throat/tonsils and has given her antibiotics. She has slept nearly all day today and has had a temperature over 40°. She has been ill since last Friday and my DD says she has got so thin. Poor love, hoping she will pick up soon.
Time now to watch The Apprentice, the best one , the interviews.
Sar I cannot believe that your DH is home so soon. I am amazed it is not done as day surgery yet.
Your poor little GD- I wonder what is wrong with the little mite.
Galen get packing and enjoy your time away in the lovely sunshine.
Panache and Corner two known non-sleepers- I hope that both of you get some shuteye tonight and neither is in any pain. Tara could give you both a run for your money re sleep.
Peeping in from time to time, I’m sad to see so much worry in the kitchen but as always interspersed with a funny tale or a photo of beautiful children to keep everyone sane, mixed with much kindness too.
My BP continues to be up and down which is a concern. But lots of worrying family stuff going on which is occupying much of my headspace and tugging at my heart too.
But in the midst of it al other bits of life, somewhat bizarrely it seems to me, carry on as “normal”.
We enjoyed the Nutcracker yesterday evening, thought of your little lad maw especially as coincidentally I had a message today from a friend telling me how much she enjoyed the performance in Birmingham.
We had a walk around a favourite reservoir at the weekend and thought of greyduster as there were fisherfolk lined up in their droves, no doubt snatching a long awaited opportunity afforded to them by a bit of rain. Although by no means good the water levels were better than they’ve been lately. Spotting a patch of green through the trees made me appreciate that, while the endless rain of last week felt tedious, these wet days do create the green vista I enjoy so much.
With that thought I’ll wish you all what i wish for myself and those i love tonight- refreshing sleep and a brighter day tomorrow x
Sleep is very overrated charley
. I often wonder what I could achieve if I had the benefit of sleep. Can’t see I’ll ever find out
.
I will be thinkiing of youb tomorrow Dragonfly, all the best!
Best wishes for today, Dragonfly.
Charleygirl5 when he had his first hip replaced about 30 years ago he was in hospital for 2 weeks, when his second was done about 25 years ago it was 10 days. Now they get you out of bed a few hours after the operation and walking around the day after, it's all to prevent DVT'S. It's good to have him home.
