Aspartame

I read a very interesting facebook share today about aspartame, the artificial sweetener. I have avoided it for years as a dangerous sugar replacement and this article reinforced that today. So many people are taking this in the form of diet soda, sweeteners and many food and drink ingredients. It is nasty nasty stuff and acts as a slow poison, showing itself in symptoms similar to MS, fibromyalgia, lupus etc.
All I'm saying here is take a minute to look into it and maybe you will recognise your own symptoms along the way. Of course there will be those promoting it but please take a minute to maybe think about trying time out from your diet drinks etc and see how you feel after the initial withdrawal period.
I will not be responding to those that slammed me last time I suggested a medical insight formed by my own opinion but if this enlightenment helps just one person then I will be pleased.
Surely the chance to possibly lose the side effects of this drug that may be blighting your life is worth a few minutes of research.
I have no idea how to get the article I read on here but there are several available online.

esspee ^ no doctored items such as gluten free^

Things can be gluten-free without being ‘doctored’. You just have to leave out anything with wheat.
A friend came to stay with me who is gluten and lactose intolerant.
I made a Yotam Ottolenghi cake for dessert using olive oil instead of butter, and ground almonds instead of the flour. It worked very well & nothing artificial at all.

no doctored items such as gluten free.
Gluten free items are not doctored.

You can purchase all kinds of flour which are gluten free and good for different kinds of cooking and baking.
In fact, you could say that modern wheat has been doctored more than some of the grains used in GF flour.

Xantham gum is produced by fermentation from, for example, corn.
Agar agar is produced from algae.
No different than using yeast.

Think aspartame contains wood alcohol, which the liver has to process?

If that’s true Wolwol, I’ll tell DH to watch out. He has cirrhosis.

I have heard, and can well believe it, that the sugar producers have been behind the campaign of misinformation about aspartame from the start. They were also behind the suppression of Yudkin's warnings about the dangers of sugar in the 1960s. His book 'Pure, White and Deadly' was the precursor of our modern low carb diets. I followed his advice in the late 60s and managed to control my weight to fit my rather nice wedding dress.
