I've done very similar chewbacca. And I'm still always losing them somewhere - and using strings doesn't help.

Lordy me, Chewbacca - you wouldn't be posting on here if that had happened!

At least they weren't on my head when they were slammed in the boot hood SueDonim! grin

Oh, Chewbacca, I know that'll be an expense for you but you have made me laugh! grin

I was a twit on Thursday evening. I couldn't fin my glasses anywhere. Searched the house, handbag, car and then searched them all again. Went back out to the car and opened the boot, leaned in to search through the detritus accumulated there and slammed the boot hood shut. That's when I heard the crunch. It would appear that my glasses had been hooked into the V neck of my sweater all along and when I'd leant into the boot, they fell off my sweater on to the rim of the boot.

Appointment at Specsavers booked for Tuesday.

I've just posted on the Christmas Cake thread that I forgot to add the fruit to my puddings last week! I wondered why the mix was so runny. grin

Made my two usual-recipe Christmas puddings, had them all ready in basins to go to boil - suddenly realised why the mix had looked a bit less than usual.
I'd forgotten the suet!
Tip out of basins, add, mix again, finally on to boil.
Just as well I remembered before cooking them.
