Good morning all. A bit grey at the moment but dry in East Northants. DS2 picking me up for a hospital visit this morning. Probably call somewhere for lunch on the way home. Pub quiz tonight, so I need to set the recorder for Dark Heart. Hope today is good for everyone.

Morning everyone, looks quite bright and dry here in Fife today so let's hope it's a good one. Marydoll, what a quandary to have. I hope everything works out OK for you and DGD is feeling better today. Quite right, don't drive and enjoy the fruits of the day! For all you gransnetters meeting up today, have a good chat and enjoy. Shopping for me this morning and DD and DGSx2 will be here for lunch. Another busy day. Hope everyone has a good day, for those of you under the weather, take care.

Good morning Mick and all. Our sky is different shades of dark blue with a little grey, it looks a little forbidding, but somehow quite attractive.
We are off to the Ideal Home Show and then for lunch at a prestigious fish restaurant, courtesy of DH's birthday voucher.
Well we hope we are,
Two year old DGD was very unwell yesterday and it all became quite stressful.
She had already seen a GP yesterday morning about her asthma, mum dropped her off and just after mum left, she developed excruciating ear ache. After phoning the surgery for advice, a receptionist phoned back hours later saying, she has to have ibuprofen or take her to A&E!
I would never have taken my own children to A&E with earache, so I wonder if this is a new thing. Off I went to the pharmacy, but something was niggling in my head about Ibuprofen and asthmatics.
I meet a friend who is retired GP and she advised against Ibruprofen, as did the pharmacist! What a palaver. Why on earth did the GP advise Ibuprofen, knowing she had unstable asthma???
However, by last night there seemed to be an improvement. I'm just waiting to hear how she is, before we go for the train.
I refused to drive today, as I plan to sample the gin samples. hic....
GrannyGravy, enjoy your meet up, I love going to them.
Mick, I have been dropping hints for the Mama Mia DVD for Christmas. grin
Have a good day all.

Good morning all. Grey and damp here too after the most stunning sunset last night so I was hoping for better!
Off to Birmingham later to try to help DD with 3 children who seem to need to be in about 4 different places after school, including DGS’s rehearsal at the Hippodrome. The excitement is building - well for me at any rate, I expect he is taking it in his stride! Last year after his end of year performance at the theatre I asked if he had enjoyed being on the big stage. He hesitated a bit, then said “No Granny.”...(I began to wonder) ..”I loved it!” grin
Wishing you all a pleasant day.

Good morning from Birmingham, where there is a rather beautiful sky at the moment. I’m off to fetch my two year old granddaughter shortly. She’s always lots of fun. The concert last night, of a Macedonian folk- music inspired pieces, was really good, although it was hard to understand some of the time signatures. We will have a quiet day today- my granddaughter was two yesterday, and has had a family party on Saturday, an outing on Tuesday and another little celebration yesterday, so she can have a nice walk in the park and a visito to the swings and slides today.

Morning Mick Nana3, morning all!

It's still dark in North Leicestershire but not cold. We had a lovely break in Suffolk but it's time to hit the ground running (ish)!!!

Volunteering this morning and then to find a new cleaner before we disappear under the dust.

Enjoy your days everyone!
