Good morning all from Northampton where the sun is trying to peep through. Think it's going to be a nice day, so have got some washing on the go. Managed to cut the grass yesterday for hopefully the last time this year.

Looks like you had a good weekend Mick.

Off to our neighbours' coffee morning today. Most of us have lived in the close since the early 90s and meet in each other's houses about once a month for cake, coffee and chat. A coup!e have moved, but still meet up.

Good morning from a grey but mild NE.
No appointments today so will do shopping.
Fireworks were very noisy last night, why do they all have to sound like depth charges ?

ffinnochio Tue 06-Nov-18 08:22:16

Good morning to you all.
Grey and unusually muggy for November.
Another day at the hospital. Very muggy there, too. T-shirt weather!

Maybe one of them would be better or we could get double threads again. You are actually indispensable Mick.

Auntieflo Tue 06-Nov-18 08:58:21

Good morning Mick, Annie, and all others. It’s grey and damp underfoot here, but it is mild. I shall try and get to my volunteering this afternoon. I do miss it when I can’t go. Nothing much else planned, but hospital this morning, and later I shall try and finish the sleeves of a jumper I am knitting. Enjoy your day one and all.

Good morning all.
It's a grey, dismal morning - so typical for the morning after bonfire night. There were lots of fireworks last night. (Actually there have been lots of them since about last Wednesday, but last night saw the most).
I feel sorry for the animals who won't understand what on earth is going on.
Sounds as if you had a nice time Mick, and a repeat performance this coming weekend - I can't fault you! Hope you enjoy it.
Fingers crossed Marydoll that the electrician turns up as promised on Thursday, and sorts out the problem that is causing your appliances to blow.
Hope everyone has a good day. ?

Sun breaking through and mild in north Cambridgeshire where I’m convalescing on my eldest daughter’s farm, after a week in hospital to rebalance sodium levels. Never knew we needed a certain amount of sodium, but when mine dropped and I passed out fortunately my youngest daughter was staying and went into action. Thanks family for all your help and support! It’s good to be alive!

NanKate Tue 06-Nov-18 10:18:47

I suggest Mick your suggestion of Nina to start if she is up for it as I will have a 5 and 7 year old bouncing in bed with me this weekend and I will be on survival mode. Happy to do it another time.

Sorry about your hands Mary| it must be so miserable. Take care my friend.

Drizzle here in the N/West though forecast is for "cloudy". Oh dear, loads of washing to go out, after having a visitor for a few days. Heigh ho, some washing into the dryer and it's onto the laundry airer for the rest....

Feelingmyage55 Tue 06-Nov-18 10:41:23

Good morning all, My first visit. Meant to say hello at 7.30 then started the chores and got carried away. Time for a sit down and a Danish pastry. marydoll not sure why your hand are sore but there was a thread yesterday about rhus tox and rota for arthritic hands. I am off to the charity shop with bags of donations. Have a good day all.

Morning everyone! Getting in on the act rather late, but the sun is at last breaking through in Newcastle (upon Tyne). Irenelily - so pleased you're feeling better now. I'm getting my hair trimmed this afternoon - a novelty these days as I was bald for 6 months during and after chemo up to Christmas last year. Yes, it's good to be alive!

Kim19 Tue 06-Nov-18 10:44:40

Grey and muggy well up North with me but I've a new venue to try for lunch in delightful company. Bravo retirement!

mabon1 Tue 06-Nov-18 10:46:35

Just returned from a walk by the sea. with my dog High tide today so walked on the path above the sand dune, sun shining on my way back to the vehicle. Had a chat with two different regular dog walkers. We noticed a new house built on West Shor, red brick, out of sync with all other which are white washed. Having new window fitted this afternoon, so will have to take down curtains and move some furniture..

Good morning Mick, very wet & windy here in Devon (Newton Abbot). Hope it clears up for your trips Sat/Sun, forecast is showery until Friday

Marianne1953 Tue 06-Nov-18 11:03:26

It’s brilliant here in South Queensferry, suns out and fairly warm. I’m off for a long walk.

nonnasusie Tue 06-Nov-18 11:09:12

Buongiorno a tutti, we've got some warm sun now after a foggy start . I hope it continues as we have lots of outside jobs to do!

Minerva Tue 06-Nov-18 11:52:52

Good morning (just). It’s taken me a long time to get moving this morning after last evening’s annual bonfire making. I cooked potatoes and corn under the fire so we had a little feast with soup and sausages afterwards and an added gingerbread man for my little grandson. I guess I strained my back last week and any activity seizes me up. Four weeks before my DD and 3 GCs arrive for a month and so much to do. Dull but windy here.

HillyN Tue 06-Nov-18 11:53:38

Just time to add my 'Good morning' to you all from a grey and cloudy west country before it becomes the afternoon! Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday wherever you are and whatever you are doing.

Willow10 Tue 06-Nov-18 12:32:44

It's a good afternoon from me from a foggy but mild East Northants. I've been unable to get online until now! I spoke to BT for 20 minutes who told me everything was ok at their end, so it must be my device. Went shopping and whilst I was out I remembered the neighbours cat came in yesterday and was exploring behind all the furniture. So I've checked all plugs, wires etc are pushed in well and hey presto! Better late than never. I hate losing internet connection - it's like losing my right arm! Hope everyone is having a good day.

ninathenana Tue 06-Nov-18 12:49:11

I accept the nomination, thank you.

I will just say, if I haven't posted by 7.15 am feel free to open the door.

annsixty Tue 06-Nov-18 13:02:13

It's a real honour nina
I am crafting a sash and crown as we speak.
Only to be worn whilst you are actually posting and then carefully put away ???

oldgaijin Tue 06-Nov-18 13:16:49

Greetings from sunny Aberdeenshire, Not! Horizontal rain and windy so shall remain in my warm sewing room making quilted Xmas balls.

Greciangirl Tue 06-Nov-18 14:10:40
