I am in admiration for all of you who have to manage sleeplessness/ disturbed nights. flowers

Our local hospital has a sleep research department. Check your hospitals to see if they have similar and need guinea pigs. Your pattern of sleep/lessness may be helpful in finding a "cure".

mcem Me too! R4/4e/World Service plus headphones so that I don't disturb DH keeps me going most of the night. And I'm quite well up on World Affairs!

Half 2 and I'm still awake. Been up since 1am. Restless legs bothering me so I can't even sit down. Walking about using my Kindle. Legs are buzzing with creepy crawley sensations.
This is my norm.... These past 25 years, only it used to be walking about with a paper book.c

I'd give anything to sleep for a few hours.

I have been awake since 1am when my H woke me to change him into clean, dry clothes.
His dementia made him think it was time to get up.
He is now fast asleep and I am wide awake, I will be lucky to get more than a couple of hours.

Wide awake still, but what's new? Was up at 8am yesterday and had a fairly active day. I just don't switch off. When I do sleep I sleep lightly. I may have to ask the doctor for some sleeping tablets. Have been awake for 17 hours now. I'd make a good night watchman.

I am sorry for all who find it hard to get the sleep thy need.

I do feel blessed as I usually manage 6.5 to 7 hours sleep. I do wake and have pee but get back to sleep. When I do have disturbed sleep ..as at the moment with my painful hip/back /leg... I become horribly grumpy! Sudoku and Book at Bedtime /R4 comedy show see me off to sleep!

Good luck tonight everyone..

Up at 10am this morning. Awful night, listened to Beautiful Dream on Amazon Echo to no avail. Likewise Classic FM. I was still awake at 03:30 when I heard DH getting up to go to his middle of the night early morning cleaning job. Let's hope tonight will be better.

Hope I do better tonight. Having sold my house I am now homeless and sofa surfing with relatives - just staying a few days so that I don’t p* people off too much grin

It doesn’t help the sleeplessness and I don’t feel I can get up and wander around like I usually would.

R4 or 4e usually puts me back to sleep within 10 minutes. Often 2/3 times per night!

Terrible night. Husband back in the other room tonight now our visitors have left. smile

Now and again I am. Once or twice a week. No obvious cause. I just do Solitaire on my Kindle ( so as not to wake DH) and try again in a hour or so. Usually works. I quite like the peace and quiet.

I have been awake for most of the night but refuse to switch on the laptop until at least 6.30!

Sirens in the distance nearly all night, one going now as I speak. The odd loud firework going off and cats fighting. A wonderful night. No way could I settle and have been up over an hour watching World News.
Second cup of tea on the go now.

Well, I finally got up at 5.45. I woke up at 4 with the song “Wichita Linesman” going round and round in my head. Unfortunately I couldn’t remember all the words, so after tossing and turning I got up and googled them. I’m having a nice cup of tea now.

Just that really. There’s some comfort in knowing you’re out there?
