I must be very naive or unobservant. I watch the series to be taken out of the world,entertained and quite enjoy a bit of overt education as well as in the Rosa Parks story. I frankly rarely notice the colour or sexuality of the characters as it does not seem relevant to me. Example... I completely fell for John Barrowman's Captain Jack Harkness which caused my brother great amusement when he pointed out he was clearly gay.

that confused me for a second when watching the show.
. I was scared of the spiders and then actually felt sad for the big one that died. Eclestone did take a while to settle in. I didn't like him at first. The first Dr was my one. I was in the 5th form then. I really disliked Matt Smith. Hated him and the assistants and didn't like Clara. Loved Tennant and liked Eclestone by the end. I hope the stories get better, but lots of those for the last Dr were pants.
