Morning all,
Just got back from coffee morning. It’s a lovely bright day, but very cold.
Hope your kitchen is up and running by the end of today, Mary - it’s been a long time!
Chores to do this afternoon.
Hope everyone has a good day. ?

Morning, all. The DCDs woke me at 7. We had breakfast and watched a bit of tv, read some books, then had a bath and got dressed. I've done some washing and drying. The girls have gone out with their Daddy (my son) for indoor crazy golf, lunch out, then cinema. I'm going to Pilates, then shopping and ironing to do this afternoon.

Bitterly cold this morning and a hard frost overnight. The rooftops are white and twinkling in the sunshine.

It is a lovely late autumn day though. Blue sky, sunshine, bright and crisp - just perfect for me!

I had (for a change) crumpets and tea for breakfast and enjoyed watching the workers go off at 7am...feeling so blessed still that my working life is over and I don't have to go out in rush hour traffic.

However, after enjoying my (rare) buttery crumpets I got a video on my tablet feed about the importance of a good nutritious breakfast. (I usually have yoghurt and fruit!) It also stressed the need for aerobic exercise every day! It took the shine off my treat!

Ah well, a little of what you fancy does you good. I have to go and have blood tests today so I'll park the car far away from the hospital entrance (I usually have no choice!) and get in some walking later on, maybe.

Happy Monday everyone.

Good morning from the edge of west London, another bright and sunny, but cold Autumn day. Off to the gym later, boring but necessary to keep everything moving. Other than ironing and a little bit of food shopping, nothing much planned.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning Mick, Annie and all. Frost on next doors grass this morning, but it’s lovely and bright. Have got one load of washing on the go, and am readying myself for the first radiotherapy session this morning.
Marydoll, a kitchen warming party is a great idea. We had one 20 years ago, can’t believe it’s that long ago, but it was lovely having all the relatives visit, who we see so rarely.
Great news Brunette, about the baby being home.
Have a good day one and all.

Goodmorning

It is bright and sunny here in SE Essex.

Week 6 of the building works, I am getting immune to the dust and mess, hopefully only another 4 weeks.

Good news about your GS brunette.

Hope you all have the best day your circumstances allow.

Poor you gillybob, not the nicest of prospects.I hope your day doesn't feel too long. I feel for you as I have a D your age and I worry for her too with her long hours consisting of just work and bed,her life.x

DoraMarr Mon 29-Oct-18 08:13:33

Good morning Mick and everyone-how are you Anniebach?
It’s a beautiful day here in Birmingham.
I didn’t have the best night’s sleep. A funny pricking sensation in my left foot kept waking me up. I’m going to try to get an appointment with the nurse at the GP’s this morning because my post-op dressing came off yesterday, so I will ask her.
My three daughters will be visiting today with their babies, and my son has promised to come over later to measure up for new curtain tracks in my living room. I’m getting rid of the horrible Venetian blinds.

Morning all!

It's still cold but dry and sunny here on the south coast. We had an odd shower including one of hail yesterday.I am so glad we got the CH service done early!

Had a busy but lovely weekend with all our family and caught up on plans and news from them all. Some good, some not so but that's life and we support each other come what may.

Catch up day today - on sleep, eating up, laundry and a general tidying and putting things back in their normal place!

Hope the day is a good one for us all. sunshine

Pleased to hear of your baby Brunette. DH took ages to clear the windscreen this morning - a very hard frost. Coffee with a GNer, ironing, housework today.

Good morning all. Very sunny in East Northants but there is frost on the cars. I'm hoping to hear from the dog rescue centre today or tomorrow regarding visiting a little dog I'm interested in adopting. grin Apart from that it's ironing and maybe a trip to the shops. Great news about the baby Brunette, you must be so relieved. Have a good day everyone. Keep warm!

A cold and frosty Good morning from N. Bucks.
Still trying to shake off the cough and cold.
Out with DD2 today for a bit of shopping and lunch. Hope I last the distance.

Cold and frosty start here this morning, but the sun is coming out. Heating on full blast as the thermo said temp in the house only 16 degrees when i came downstairs. Planning to get some laundry done, dust and hoover upstairs and do a small piel of ironing.I want to bubble wrap my terracota pots and put in the greenhouse to protect them for the winter. Hopefully I will get out a bit later walking to town for some exercise and fresh air, it is so tempting just to stay in when its cold.

Good Morning All. Jack Frost has visited us here in the North West and it's pretty cool here !
Nothing on the agenda so far for me though you never know from one day to the next how things pan out. Still,it keeps me on my toes and no two days are the same.x

gillybob Mon 29-Oct-18 07:25:08

Good morning everyone. The dreaded Monday morning. School runs, then that place. A cold, crisp beautifully bright morning on the NE coast.

NannyJan53 Mon 29-Oct-18 07:24:38

Good Morning from a very frosty Black Country.

We had an enjoyable weekend in Bristol, albeit it rained most of Saturday, it was much brighter on Sunday and we had a lovely walk by the river.

This morning I will be walking with a Healthy Walking group.

Looks like the completion of your kitchen is in sight Marydoll and yes, a virtual 'kitchen warming' party is in order smile

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from a cold and very frosty Northampton. Heating going full blast! DGDs here today - they want to go shopping, so there might be a bus trip to town.

Pittcity Mon 29-Oct-18 07:10:59

Good morning from a cold, bright Colchester. We had rain and hail yesterday but today looks to be dry.

I'm off to walking netball (why does predictive text want me to write "walking dead"?) this morning while DH is picking up his new car. Dare say we'll be having a drive out this afternoon.
