I'd love to live near the sea gillybob. I envy you. I'd be out on that beach, blowing the cobwebs away, but yes, it's chilly today.

I'd be reading, or pottering in the garden if I had time to myself. Was just planning a totally self-indulgent day of papers, lots of tea, and a film this afternoon (as OH is out all day) when daughter suggested she'd bring little one over and they'd have lunch with me!

So, I have rushed round making myself look vaguely respectable had a quick tidy up in the kitchen.

I also quite like window shopping so going for a mooch around the shops (I need a winter coat) was a vague idea I had today. Don't think that's going to happen either!

Hope whatever you decide to do you get to put your feet up too. You are usually a very busy person gillybob so hope you enjoy the rest.

Did you get that insurance situation sorted Gillybob? You've had a hellish stressful week. You need a day to recover and recharge your batteries. A nice long walk, a cup of tea and some cake by the fire and try to find a nice drama on TV that you can get lost in. Who knows, if it's boring enough you might fall asleep. You need to dissipate all that adrenalin!

I always think if I could walk by the sea ever day it would be idyllic. Of course it doesn't work like that. Life can be very difficult. I go for walks (we have no sea, but we do have a canal towpath!), read or phone a sister. Of course if you haven't got those options it's not so easy.

Please come over to my place and you can make it like a new pin!!!! It won't know what has hit it!

Read a good book?

Wrap up & go for a walk. It always makes you feel better. I’d love to live near the sea.

Rashly not harshly

It sounds like heaven!
Seriously one person's idea of boring is another's idea of opportunity.
I hardly ever have the house to myself. I never have it looking like a new pin.
I harshly invited people for dinner tonight so now I have to clean and cook.
How I'd like to go back to bed with a good book.
A walk along the seafront sounds idyllic whatever the weather.

It’s Saturday, my favourite day of the week as there’s no work today or tomorrow . I always wish Saturdays would last forever .

Trouble is now that the weather has taken a turn for the worst I am bored and quite lonely. DH is hardly ever away from work these days ( Saturdays, Sunday’s makes no difference) The house is like a new pin, scrubbed, cleaned, tidied and sorted ( I do a lot in the middle of the night when I can’t sleep) . No children today, no money, no friends and I’m not a huge TV fan. I often walk on the beach alone or potter in the garden but it’s so cold and dreary outside ..... how do you fill in the hours ? ( apart from GN obviously ) smile
