Good Morning Everyone,
Its still dark in brackley this morning but dry, my usual trip out , but will wear more seasonal clothing as I feel its going to be a spell of a cold period to come.

Afternoon all. I forgot Gransnet ?, whatever is the world coming to?
Hello Annie, here’s hoping your granddaughter visits today.

Have done washing and it’s on the line. Mopped all hard floors, and tried to suck up the leaves with the garden vac, but it’s not behaving itself. I threatened it with the tip, so it is half heartedly now doing it’s job.
Dora good luck for today.
I start radiotherapy on Monday, for three weeks, so may be tardy again with the Good Mornings.
Have a good day one and all.

Good morning all,
I'm rather late posting today, but have been up ages. Got quite a lot of jobs done, then remembered GN. ?
It's a lovely, bright morning, but cool and breezy - will need to wrap up warm when I go to the supermarket.
Good luck today, Dora.
Enjoy your day, everyone.

I have learnt something today harrigran. I don't think we have a word for that in the South. I will add it to my vocabulary grin

harrigran Thu 25-Oct-18 09:55:33

Could be Greenfinch, I live in the NE and have always used the term to describe a wind that blows your hair and makes it difficult to walk.

Riverwalk Thu 25-Oct-18 09:49:35

I'd highly recommend 'Tina - the Musical'.

Great songs and dancing of course but it's not schmaltzy and the first half doesn't shy away from the abuse she suffered at the hands of Ike.

An interesting story.

Greenfinch Thu 25-Oct-18 09:48:53

Chewy. Is this a regional expression? confused

harrigran Thu 25-Oct-18 09:45:23

Good morning, bright and sunny but still very windy. Too chewy for me to go out.

EllanVannin Thu 25-Oct-18 09:02:29

Morning All, dull dark day as per usual here on Merseyside.

GrannyGravy13 Thu 25-Oct-18 08:50:28

Thank you Riverwalk, I will look on line for tickets. I am not Meatloafs biggest fan, but Husband likes quite a few of his songs.

Anime, hope your granddaughter calls in today x

lemongrove Thu 25-Oct-18 08:47:00

Good morning to all, grey and misty here, just the sort of weather that if I step outside for five minutes, my hair starts doing it’s own wayward thing.
I love Autumn though, so will just have to wear a hat!

silverlining48 Thu 25-Oct-18 08:46:26

Blue if only we had consulted you, but all day sun is forecast again from tomorrow. It is a wonderful off season place to visit as you will know. Have not needed a cardi, even at night, for our whole visit. It’s been lovely.
The sun is out, it’s Not cold, I might even get a last swim in the warm blue sea.

Gagagran Thu 25-Oct-18 08:45:30

Morning all! I am late this morning as we have been and done the weekly supermarket shop, unpacked it all and had breakfast. Now here I am!

DS and family arrive tomorrow for the weekend so the shopping was designed around menus for them. I shall be baking in the morningready for their arrival in the afternoon. Looking forward to it very much.

Choir last night played its usual trick and kept me awake half the night singing - not literally of course but it might as well have been . The brain would not turn off, try as I might. Hey ho. zzzzzzz will be on the agenda this afternoon I suspect.

Hope the day is a good one for us all. sunshine

Anniebach Thu 25-Oct-18 08:45:12

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

I think my younger granddaughter is calling today , hope so, haven’t seen anyone for two weeks. Love her visits, chatter and laughter .

Hope everyone has a good day x

Morning everyone.
Sunny and cool in Kent. We've still not had the heating on, which is great. Not much planned today.
Another fan of the Motown show here. When I saw it in the west end the boy playing Michael Jackson was amazing.
Good luck Dora

Riverwalk Thu 25-Oct-18 08:44:21

Grannygravy I went with DGS(13) yesterday to see 'Bat Out Of Hell'. It's great fun!

It's very loud, a few fleeting adult themes, swearing, special effects, big cast, big orchestra. The audience was primarily couples of a certain age grin.

I wasn't a particular fan of Meatloaf but he did sing some very catchy songs and surprisingly-moving big ballads. All good stuff smile

I got very cheap seats.

Greyduster Thu 25-Oct-18 08:35:07

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Wall to wall sunshine again here in South Yorkshire but I expect it will be cold (I am still abed!). Food shopping this morning and then the last school run before half term. We shall be Boy-less this half term ☹️☹️ as they are off to New York tommorrow for a week. I wish it wasn’t such a long way away......
Have a good day folks.

gillybob Thu 25-Oct-18 08:34:43

Good morning everyone x

Good morning from a slightly dreary south east. Had a lovely day in Sussex yesterday, sun came out and it was really warm, don't know whether we can expect the same today. Mainly looking after 4 year old grandson today, so will be gathering conkers I guess, which I will be expected to keep until the next visit and the next until they are all shrivelled when I'll probably be allowed to dispose of them!

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from sunny Colchester.
Need to get the garden tidied and there's a pile of laundry as usual, so I won't be idle.

travelsafar Thu 25-Oct-18 08:08:32

Morning all, dry and cold but looks like the sun may appear a bit later. Off to the dentist this morning for 6mth check up, not my favourite place to be going but necessary. hmm Then into the supermarket for the weekly shop and a visit to the bank to check on finances smile I will take a siesta this afternoon as out to my whist club later this evening. Have a greatday what ever you are doing. Good luck Dora.

GrannyGravy13 Thu 25-Oct-18 08:04:38

Goodmorning all from what is looking like a bright sunny SE Essex.

Hope hospital day stay goes well Dora.

Just wondering if any of you have seen the Bat out of Hell musical? Husbands birthday coming up and thinking of surprising him.

Week 5 of the builders/decorators being here, no end in site ??????

Brunette10 Thu 25-Oct-18 07:52:09

Morning everyone, dry here in Fife. Food shopping today and running a friend to get her car from garage. That's it I'm afraid not a lot! Enjoy your day everyone.

NanKate Thu 25-Oct-18 07:44:08

Thanks Mick sounds a great Show. I still listen to Sounds of the 60s with the great Tony Blackburn each Saturday morning. ?

12Michael Thu 25-Oct-18 07:33:13

Nan Kate ,
Motown wise they have a selection of kids who play the young Berry Gordy, little Stevie Wonder and the younger Michael Jackson.
You also have a scene in the show with the person playing Diana Ross does a Los Vegas cabaret scene and getting a female and male from the audience to sine Reach Out and Touch with her.
Mick

Good morning all. Dark, chilly but dry in East Northants. Hospital appointment this morning and a bit of shopping. Weighing up the possibilities of adopting a little blind Yorkshire Terrier from the rescue centre (I should never have looked at the website!). Glad you enjoyed Motown Kitty! I hope it's a positive day for all.
