A dark wet day here in South Bucks.

How exciting Kitty to have your first cuddle with your new grandson. Hope Bertie and Persie are equally impressed with their new brother. Congratulations all round. Now a champagne cocktail sounds just perfect. Enjoy your belated Birthday.

Will hunker down from the rain, cook a nice roast beef dinner, watch the Tennis Final from Shanghai and generally be lazy. Enjoy your beef stew Mick

Morning Mick, morning Kitty

Still dark here in the depths of Norfolk - and warm. It’s supposed to be raining but I think it may mostly pass us by. I did some gardening yesterday and the soil is like sand and shallow rooted plants are looking very sorry for themselves. I can’t believe there’s so much rain elsewhere!

I’ve got a cold and I’m supposed to be going to my first Tai Chi class this morning at half past nine. I’ll have to stand in the corner well away from everyone else.

I love slow cooked beef Mick, especially with dumplings - but they’re definitely off my menu at the moment, my clothes don’t fit! Have a lovely meal Kitty and definitely go for that cocktail!

Morning all from a wet North Leicestershire.

This morning we are taking Bertie and Persie home to meet their new brother this morning. Hopefully we will get a cuddle too!

Then Dh and I are going out for Sunday lunch for my birthday - which was in January!! We've had a busy year! I might have a champagne cocktail to celebrate!
