Yesterday evening I was in kitchen making a cuppa. House phone rang. I had strained my back in the morning trying to move 121 bottles of Ensure delivered by chemist and left st door, very heavy .

Anyway took some time to get to phone, it stopped ringing, number withheld. Mobile rang, took time getting to mobile , it stopped ringing, number withheld.

Then house phone phone and mobile started ringing , son in law who isn’t ‘ i’m On my way back from Merthyr have rung X ( son in law ) , mobile was son in law ‘ what’s wrong’ , house phone rang again, daughter in Lincolnshire ‘ what’s wrong’.

The care line had rung them to say I had beeped them but I hadn’t answered, they were concerned .

I phone care line and asked what was going on, they said I had pressed for help and hadn’t answered them.

I explained I did not, I was in the kitchen and the alarm thingy was on the coffee table in the living room , their reply - your dog must have pressed it ! My dogs were in the kitchen with me and do not go on the coffee table.

Result, I now have a new pendulum this morning, tested it when the warden was with me , hands too weak to press .

Question , how did the pendulum get pressed last night ?

Ooh, err! You weren't wearing it when you moved the ensure, we're you? Did you remove it to do that job, or afterwards?

I had an unusual experience yesterday too. DH and I were eating lunch in the kitchen. Above the kitchen is the landing. We heard two very loud thumps, as if heavy feet had stamped above us. We were the only two people in the house, and it wasn't windy outside.

I moved the Ensure Mid morning . I put the pendulum on the coffee table about 6.pm . The calls started at 8.00pm

Strange those thumps in your house Mini, unexplained happenings ?

Well at least you know the system works anniebach, everyone swung into action even though you didn't need them to !

I have a feeling it will remain a mystery.

I heard some thumps in the house this morning and I was alone in the house. I went outside to check that no-one was thumping the front wall. No-one there …

The other thing is that we seem to have recorded several tv programmes that we hadn't asked for - we had several 'failed' recordings too. When I looked up what they could have been, they were all afternoon programmes which we would never watch or want to record.

The Truth is Out There

I owe a young man age 11 a McDonalds meal, his Dad he ( my son in law who isn’t) had just pulled into McDonalds in Merthyr for Jnr to have treat. Drove in, call came, they drove straight out, no McDonaldx for Jnr.

My son in law when contacted said ‘ bet she sat on it’! He is on my hit list .

Yes they all swung into action ?

I suspect the TV thing is DH, we sometimes get recorded progammes neither of us would be interested in and a couple of days ago I switched it on and it was on a channel 200 and something! He insists he wasn't watching a religious programme the night before.

Upstairs bangs usually turn out to be something which fell off the wall. No. don't think we have a poltergeist.
