hi ladies I wonder if I might ask for your thoughts and prayers hopefully for the last time. Tomorrow afternoon my grandson has surgery to remove his damaged eye and put the ball in place for his artificial eye in a few weeks. At the same time the intention is to seal the leaking valve in his heart which has been so badly damaged by the infection. This has been such a long hard time for the family and have to remain strong for his parents and my husband is not well enough to show much emotion I know you will all understand and I have been so very grateful for your kind support many thanks

I shall pray for a good outcome Canarygirl what a difficult time you have been having.

canarygirl your DGS has been in my prayers everyday since you first mentioned him. I hope tomorrow's operation goes well and he makes a good recovery. I hope you too will then have a time of peace and rest because you must be exhausted with worry. Thinking of you all x

thank you so much for kind thoughts I see in first post mentioned eye would be removed in that instance they did whatever they do to try and save the valve but it didnt work and the eye has died so now will go. If all goes well his new eye went fitted in a few weeks acually moves like the other one how clever is that! Am off to bed now as husband is exhausted expect the world service on radio will come to rescue during the night. I will let you know tomorrow evening how things go and again thank you

Whar a lot you’ve all had to cope with, especially that little boy. Praying that surgery goes well today and that he’ll recover well. It must be hard when your husband can’t fully shoulder the emotional burden with you.
