You can bet your bottom Australian Dollar that VB will be there Rufus she won’t smile of course because she has had the smiling muscles removed. Let’s hope they’re not late or Daaaaaayveeeed might be forced to break the speed limit to get them there on time wink

Nanna58; I'm so excited that I said "tax due" instead of pension; it's still frozen; like some people's heart's. sad

I love the Royal Family and enjoy any excuse to watch a happy occasion when most of the news is doom and gloom. Plus the fact that Andrea Boccelli will be singing at the wedding, so I shall be settling down to watch the ceremony and hoping the happy couple don’t read any of the mean-spirited comments from Joe Public.

Are the cameras in the Church to record the service ?

oldbatty Fri 12-Oct-18 09:15:26

Why do the Beckhams and Elton John and that awful whiny singy man get invites?

Anniebach Fri 12-Oct-18 09:16:51

Because they are friends batty ?

Anniebach Fri 12-Oct-18 09:17:54

Who is the awful whiny singy man ? ?

Surprised that the BBC are not covering this wedding

GabriellaG Fri 12-Oct-18 09:40:04

There are, reportedly, more police than onlookers on the streets of Windsor.

I'm very pleased that the BBC isn't covering the wedding. It would be a poor use of our licence fee. Or your licence fee as I'm over 75!

Bridgeit Fri 12-Oct-18 09:43:26

?good point.

Bridgeit Fri 12-Oct-18 09:43:58

I'm with the Republicans on this one, 2 million from the public purse for security is a waste of money, money that could have been used for something more worthwhile. Do they really have to do a ride through the town in an open carriage? hmm. As far as the royal family are concerned a line has to be drawn somewhere, and although Eugenie is the Queen's grand daughter she is now well down the line of succession. She should have taken a leaf out of her cousins' Zara and Peter's book and not be going for this huge public display. Unfortunately her rather grabby and foolish parents don't appear to have the wisdom of Princess Ann.

St.George’s Chapel is their parish church . Zara married in Edinburgh , the family are in Scotland at that time of year. There was security along the royal mile. Peter’s wife is American, they married in St. George’s Chapel, her family had to fly here instead of the grooms family flying to America.

Nothing would have been decided for today without queenie’s blessing.

I think inviting the public into the grounds and the carriage ride is too much .

I hope those mischievous little children will do something daft, that's the best bit!

123coco Fri 12-Oct-18 10:21:13

I am not quite sure why people are complaining about a mere £2 million when Trumps visit cost us £18!! At least a bit of tourism comes out f this. Please if you are going to complain, complain about Trump and other ridiculous things we have to pay for. Like it or not this is an attrttraction for people around the world and they come abd visit here. Trump just embarrassed this country even more,

Ladyinspain Fri 12-Oct-18 10:28:30

Just think this "Princess" has been a non working Royal, who has learnt well from her parents, how to Freeload--countless holidays all year long! And we have the usual Celebrity guests-do the Clooneys rent themselves out as Royal wedding guests? Jimmy Carr? Robbie Williams?? Really-why?

gillybob Fri 12-Oct-18 10:31:23

A “mere” £2 million really 123coco ? shock

gillybob Fri 12-Oct-18 10:33:18

Just like “there’s no show without Punch” there’s no royal wedding without the Beckhams or the Clooneys wink

DoraMarr Fri 12-Oct-18 11:00:07

123coco- I’m annoyed about both.

valeriej43 Fri 12-Oct-18 11:02:12
