Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark, looks a though the usual ground frost as well here in Brackley , rain is supposed to be forecast locally today.
This if it happens changes my day, as the flea market at Buckingham which I like to browse around , stallholders do not hang around long if its wet.
Mick

Good Morning Mick and everyone

We had a glorious warm, sunny day yesterday but are promised some rain and a big drop in temperature today.
Got a lot done in the garden as it was so lovely out. Today will hunker down indoors!

I need to sort my excessive number of shoes out and will probably get on with that. Not much else on the agenda but something always turns up.

Hope the day is a good one for us all.

Good morning.
It's a very wet and cold morning here. The rain started heavily about 4 pm yesterday and it's still at it and forecast for most of the day.
I'm very early this morning, but it's been one of those mornings when I woke early and couldn't get back to sleep. My throat feels a bit itchy so I've been down to make a cup of tea in the hope it chases it away and itdoesn't develop into a cold!
No major plans for today which is just as well if this rain keeps up.
Hope you all have a pleasant day, and that you get to the flea market, mick. ?

Morning Mick Gaga Maple and All to follow.

Dark and rain to come today in South Bucks.

Going to Cheltenham Literary Festival where DS is appearing today we are taking the two GSs too, hope there is somewhere they can chase around. ?

Have a good day folks.

Morning all.
It's cold and wet here in York. I've been up since about 5 am making 'to do' lists and planning the week's calendar, which is very full already.
Hope you all have a restful weekend.

Morning all and to those who follow. Bright here today in Fife, think its to be a good day. Bright in more ways than one too. DGS2 is safely here weighing in at 8.2 and the double of of his very proud big brother. All is well and just so chuffed and proud to to bits. Have a great day everyone.

Morning everyone. It is a bit miserable here today, dark, wet and grey. Not much planned for today apart from some shopping and a meet up with my sister to go to a local church Autumn fair. We try to go every month to this church fair as it is like stepping back in time, they sell all manner of things, plus homemade cakes and jams. There is a coffee bar and the coffee is very' old school ' a jar of Nescafe instant coffee served in the green or yellow cups they used in the school staff rooms years ago. There are little tables set with white table cloths and flowers. The vicar is usually there and she will chat to everyone which is lovely. All this is accompanied by the whiff of musty church hall and we love it!!!! Ha ha smile

Morning all.

Foggy for the third day running in Kent. We may get the rain that's forecast for a lot of the country.
Journey to the funeral was pretty horrendous but the day went well.
Stay dry people.

Morning Mick, morning All from a very damp and chilly corner of Somerset. Sat on the motorway for ages yesterday, jammed solid, hoping today is better as we have to set out again to get to a family celebration. Wish us luck, had enough of traffic jams. Hope Saturday is kind to everyone.

Good morning from a cold, damp Colchester.
Ironing and packing this morning as we are off to Ely this afternoon. We are taking part in the Countryfile Ramble tomorrow and thought we'd stay a couple of nights.
Welcome to the world brunette10's DGS ?

Good morning Mick and all and a special good morning to Brunette and her new wee grandson. Kitty, I hope you don't have too wait too long now.
I'm like a half shut kife today! Yesterday we spent a day at the seaside with DGD, we had a ball! We were the only people on the beach, except for a few dog walkers. It was a beautiful day and we could see right across the water to Arran. I donned my wellies, went in paddling with her and splashed about, it was so therapeutic. smile. DH and I used to go there as children, so it brought back many happy memories.
DDG stayed overnight and she took up the whole of the double bed, while I had had only a few inches! At least DH had a sleep in the other room and he can take over!grin
Corner your shoe collection sounds like mine.????
Have a good weekend everyone.

Marydoll Sat 06-Oct-18 08:05:28

Oh dear, I'm half asleep! I meant Gaga's shoe collection.

Good morning here from a very wet Northampton. It's throwing it down, so hooray! Because I have had new turf laid and this is just what it needs! I can see the rain bouncing off the patio table. A lazy day at home methinks, perhaps a bit of decluttering; I might attack the cupboard under the stairs, making sure of course that the cats don't get lost in its murky depths. Pleased that the new grandson arrived safely.

Good morning everyone x

Huge congratulations to you and your family Brunette smile

Morning Mick, Annie to come, morning all. Dull and grey here, no rain as yet, but is forecast.
Shopping later, as car was being serviced etc yesterday. Bless her heart, she passed, again with no problems, and as she is 15 this year, she is getting on a bit.
I have re-started my knitting project, but the latest ball of yarn had 3 joins/faults before I was even half way through it. Fired off an email to the manufacturer, then found another one 5 minutes later. Things ain't what they used to be.
Congratulations on new baby Brunette and good luck to those out walking for charity.
Have a good weekend one and all.

Greyduster Sat 06-Oct-18 08:43:21

A late good morning Michael and all GNs. As Maple has said, wet and cold here. Going to be another in day today, but DH is braving the elements to watch football this afternoon. Have a good day folks.

Good morning from a wet East Northants. The first rain we've had for some time, so the garden needs it. Leaves are everywhere from a nearby horse chestnut, so I guess Autumn is really here! Quiet day pottering indoors for me. Congratulations on the new arrival, enjoy your day everyone.

MiniMoon Sat 06-Oct-18 08:55:24

Good morning all.
Going off to the garden centre shortly. It's about an hour journey for us. DH wants to buy spring bulbs to put in his numerous pots.
Then we're having lunch in a pub with sister and BiL. It's overcast here but no rain yet, although showers are forecast.
Have a lovely day everyone.

kittylester Sat 06-Oct-18 08:57:24

Morning all from a very wet North Leicestershire.

We are having a lazy start today after going to the theatre last night. Dh has the start of a cold but we have a roof man coming at lunch time (hooray!!!) so he will have to get going for that!

Still no baby!

DoraMarr Sat 06-Oct-18 09:35:52

Good morning from a chilly, wet Birmingham. Travelsafar , your description of the Autumn Fair is straight out of Barbara Pym! I’m having a late breakfast in bed courtesy of my partner, then later I’ll go to see Sali Hughes and Lauren Laverne at Birmingham Book festival, then Tai Chi at the Arts Centre, then a nice sit down with tea and biscuits at home.

Blue45Sapphire Sat 06-Oct-18 10:14:07

Pleased to say it is still raining hard in Northampton and my turf is getting a thorough soaking. Hopefully won't have to muck around with the sprinkler for a few days. Well, suppose I had better get dressed!
