Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but dry start this morning in Brackley, will do my usual Saturday thing, Bicester and Buckingham for lunch, then have a rummage around the Flea market , there is a stall holder who has old OS maps .

Morning Mick, Morning All

There’s a beautiful apricot sunrise in a clear sky out there. Decidedly chilly though.

My DH has a large selection of OS maps, some really old, taking pride of place on the bookcase. I can’t part him from them or persuade him to put them away in favour of more useful books.

It’s the day of DGS’s Big Party and I’m not sure I’m looking forward to it. Luckily they’ve enrolled the help of a teacher friend who has a big voice! All will be well!??

Morning Mick Nfk and All.

Good description of the sky Nfk it’s the same here in South Bucks. I’m sure once the party is in full swing you will start enjoying it.

I love Flea Markets Mick.

I think we will be hearing a little later from the Edinburgh Crew who met yesterday. There were a good number of them and I suspect a little alcohol was taken ?

Good morning to you all! Happy to be back on the GM thread after a wee while.
Beautiful strata of an apricot and mango sunrise.

ninathenana Sat 29-Sept-18 07:15:09

Morning everyone.

No beautiful colours in the sky over Kent just some very dark clouds, the forecast is dry though.
Won't be venturing out as DD has had to borrow my car for work. So a bit of ironing and settle down with a jigsaw.
Hope you enjoy the party more than your expecting NanKate

Good morning from N Bucks and a chilly one too! Slept only fitfully so a lazy morning then off to see the streamed RSC “Merry Wives of Windsor” at the Errol Flynn Filmhouse in Northampton.
Wishing you all a pleasant day ( if a tiring one Nfk!)

NanKate Sat 29-Sept-18 07:24:37

Morning Nina it’s Nfk DGS’s birthday party. I have until next February till both my DGS’s have their parties, but I so understand her feelings. Once the cake us cut I always relax.

NanKate Sat 29-Sept-18 07:25:18

Looks like another fine day on the way.I am watching the birds on the table outside my window as i type this, a family of four beautiful doves and some sparrows.

Going to a Macmillan coffee morning with my sister a bit later then home to potter and i have the bottom of my wardrobes to clear out, i have so many pairs of shoes stored there that i know i wont ever wear again, so hopefully another visit to the charity shop tomorrow. Hope everyone has a lovely Saturday.smile

Morning all,

A beautiful sunrise here, though very chilly. We are promised another life Ely bright day today.

Have friends coming for supper tonight so off to the butchers in a bit - think we'll need comfort food!

Hope the party goes well, Nfk. I'm sure it will. ?

Welcome back ffinnochio ?

Mapleleaf Sat 29-Sept-18 07:35:13

Should read "lovely* not "life Ely"!! This iPad has a mind of its own. ??

Greyduster Sat 29-Sept-18 07:41:49

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The sun is shining again but it’s chilly in South Yorkshire. We are minding GS this morning, and Grandad has promised him we will go out for breakfast later. This is a treat, apparently (hmm). Hope the party goes well, NfK. If it’s any consolation, the older they get, the smaller and easier to manage the gatherings become! Have a good day, folks.

Greyduster Sat 29-Sept-18 07:42:28

Good. Morning, Maple!

Marydoll Sat 29-Sept-18 07:45:20

Good morning all from a decided chilly and breezy Glasgow.
Mick, I can see the fascination with old OS napes.
Nfk hope the party goes well.
It will be an easy day to day for me, I'm very tired today. The Edinburgh lunch was so enjoyable, lots of fun and good company.
I can't say the same for my journey home on a rush hour train to Glasgow, it was not a comfortable experience, but so worth it for a great day out. At least I got a seat!. Got to Glasgow and discovered there were trains to everywhere else , but not my own town. DH had to come to the rescue.
Enjoy a relaxing day everyone (apart from NFK). Maw just sit back and enjoy your streaming.

Good Morning everyone!

It's another lovely start to the day here on the south coast. I have loved this September - full of glorious, golden days of mellow sunshine. It's been my favourite month of the year.

Bit late to the thread as we have been getting things organised for the British Heart Foundation chaps to get at the two sofas we are donating this morning. Just hope they got their van fixed and they do turn up. Our sitting room does not need three sofas and four chairs.

Hope we all have a good day with the varied activities on the agenda! sunshine

Good morning. A bit chilly here but will be busy all day. ‘Girls weekend ‘ started well yesterday with lots of laughs. More of the same today, some crafting and a quick visit to a nearby retail outlet.
Enjoy your weekends all.

oldgoat Sat 29-Sept-18 07:52:28

Morning all from gloomy Fife.
Having a bit of a lie-in to recover from the GN meet-up in Edinburgh where a lively time was had by all.
(That should have said 'lovely' but I think lively is a better description!)
Off to take DD's dogs for a run on the beach then back down-south on the train which will take hours because of the track works. Thank goodness I've got a good book to read.
Have a good day everyone.

oldgoat Sat 29-Sept-18 07:56:13

Nice to see you yesterday marydoll

ninathenana Sat 29-Sept-18 07:59:14

Sorry for the mix up Nfk, NanKate smile
Sentiment still applies

Marydoll Sat 29-Sept-18 08:00:09

I'm looking forward to seeing your photos of your extension, Oldgoat. Hopefully see you at Christmas.smile
Your walk on the beach will certainly blow the cobwebs away!

Pittcity Sat 29-Sept-18 08:00:56

Good morning from sunny Colchester. Cooling down but dry....lovely.
Out to a Macmillan Coffee Morning and to get a few bits in town.
Quiet evening catching up on TV.

Brunette10 Sat 29-Sept-18 08:05:59

Morning everyone and it's dull and windy here in Fife today but I'm sure a brisk walk along the beach OldGoat will be very exhilarating. Good to see everyone at Edinburgh's Day Out yesterday. Sorry the train journey back Marydoll wasn't very pleasant but as you say at least you got a seat. Commuting times on trains is not a pleasant experience. Safe journey back OldGoat, enjoy your book. Hope everyone will have a pleasant day. Enjoy!

Auntieflo Sat 29-Sept-18 08:10:25

Good morning Mick, Annie to come and all. Nice bright sunny start to the day here, but chilly. Glad the heating has kicked in. Not much planned today. Out to Sat coffee with friends as usual, then probably make a pud to take to DD tomorrow lunchtime. Our market has a lovely garden flower stall, so I may just have to wander over there.
Mick, hope you enjoy your flea market, sounds fun.
Have a good day one and all.

Anniebach Sat 29-Sept-18 08:23:24

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

Good morning, another beautiful day in the NE.
Collecting GD this afternoon and bringing her to our house, she is going to a mocktail party at a local golf club tonight and will be staying with us after. I think DH thought his days of dropping and collecting teenagers was over when ours left home.
