Weighing Scales

Are they on carpet? Scales need to stand on a hard surface.

How do you know it's not accurate?

Can't help Mick. Mine ran out of battery power, I removed the battery but have never replaced it. I have no idea what I weigh, which is probably a good thing. I would get a fright if I stood on the scales these days.

All scales weigh different.
The advice is to stick to one pair and gauge your weight from that pair.
I don't own scales. You could get weighed at the GP's or in Boots or at the motorway services.
They will probably differ in comparison too.

It's funny how I always put on 2 kilos whenever I am weighed in hospital (and that's making an allowance for the weight of my clothes)!

It doesn't matter though, I use the same scales at home regularly and keep my weight below the maximum I have set myself. I'm not worried about how accurate they are, I'm only interested in the fluctuations in weight

I put my scales on a tiled floor. When I bought them, the instructions said that they were suitable for use on carpeted floors. You just need to check their suitability for your flooring.

If 12Michael is OK with weighing 107 kilos perhaps he is around 2.2 metres tall?

Yes, I thought that, but as the post is also signed 'Mick', on balance, I decided that the poster was likely to be male. On the other hand it could be a 3 metres tall woman who is taking the mick!

Put all three in a row, Mick, take off your clothes (no point weighing your togs as well) and stand on each set of scales in turn. Choose the reading you like best and hide the other two scales in the cupboard.

I weigh between 6st 2lb and 11st 12lb depending on where I put my scales.

And it depends where you stand too.
And whether you hold onto the window sill at the same time.?

And whether it is before breakfast or after.
