Hi. I didn't read the replies on this page as I have one piece of advice - please go to the doctor and ask to be examined, an abdominal exam. If this shows nothing, please ask for a CT scan or an ultrasound. I had a hysterectomy in 1987, but in 2009 I began sweating like you and I was literally drenched 24 hours a day, having to change my clothes 2 or 3 times a day. I went to the doctor but was never examined.
In 2010 after 2 house moves, it was discovered I had a tumour wrapped around the right ovary, fallopian tube and appendix. This was removed. Chemo followed and I am now in my 8th year of remission and feeling fine.
Please make an appointment asap with your GP. I haven't written this to scare anyone, but to make you aware that what can seem insignificant or had been 'put down to age' can sometimes be something else. Please don't dismiss unusual symptoms which have appeared after a number of years after the menopause.
