Good Morning Everyone,
Its dry but grey start here in Brackley this morning , yesterdays trip to Somerset and the West Somerset railway was a long tiring day.
Got to Michael wood services , plenty of west mids coaches followed us in, then the WSR and Minehead , a 40`s weekend made things interesting , even with some lookalikes but a good day.
Mick

Morning Mick from a cloudy North Leicestershire! Your trip sounds really interesting.

More washing for DD3 today and maybe a trip to take it back!

NanKate Sun 16-Sept-18 07:14:06

Morning Mick and Kitty and All to come.

Cloudy here in South Bucks warming up though as day progresses.

So glad you had a good day Mick I did too at the 40s event and bought quite a bit of vintage jewellery.

We may visit some lovely gardens at a Buddhist centre nearby they only open to the public occasionally.

Morning all - we are back from our week away going down Memory Lane. It feels much cooler than before we went and the central heating is not working. Hey ho!

We had a lovely week of seeing old friends and places and the weather was kind with golden September days. I think it is one of my favourite months.

I'll join you in the Laundry kitty - quite a lot accumulated in the week away.

Enjoy the gardens NanKate. I have a Buddha in my garden - I love his smile.

NanKate Sun 16-Sept-18 07:39:30

I too have a Buddha in the garden Gaga given to by DH and DS as an early Bday present.

Insert me in the correct place please

Morning everyone and those to follow. Dull and rainy here in NE Fife not a pleasant looking day. Glad everyone is enjoying their weekend so far. Busy day ahead with catching up on chores etc not done any for ages. Just a day for the house I say. Enjoy your day whatever you end up doing.

Good morning Michael and all GNs. Grey but dry in South Yorkshire. We have the family coming today to wish DH a happy birthday and eat me out if house and home. Love it! So I have to get cracking early today. Have a good day, folks.

Morning all from a cloudy North Norfolk. Just recovering from visiting my 89yr old parents yesterday in Lincolnshire , who are driving me mad at the moment aagghhh !
Have to make chocolate beetroot brownie for my GD before I head over to beautiful Warwickshire to look after her for a couple of days. Busy days ahead smile

Good morning from a rather overcast N. Bucks.
DH has gone to a wine tasting experience with DD 1 and I’m off to a NT property with DD2.
Hope you all have a good day.

oldgoat Sun 16-Sept-18 08:08:56

Morning all.
A busy day today mucking out the garage before the builders start work tomorrow on our extension. Really hope the weather stays fine until they've got the roof on.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from a chalet somewhere in the West Country. It’s cloudy, after a beautiful warm day yesterday. The drive down was fine, I left well before eight and arrived after eleven after a stop for a late breakfast. We’re eating out en masse today- three daughters, three partners and three babies under two. Fortunately, the children are ( usually) well behaved, so we should enjoy our Sunday roasts.

Greyduster Sun 16-Sept-18 08:13:19

Morning, Oldgoat! Good to see you ?!

Pittcity Sun 16-Sept-18 08:20:22

Good morning from a bright but cloudy Colchester. Our quiet weekend continues with a lie in and a Sunday Roast.

Marydoll Sun 16-Sept-18 08:26:09

Good morning all, raining and breezy here in Glasgow.
Glad you enjoyed your day, Mick
A pottering about day and catching up with chores.
A restless night, with bizarre dreams. confused, kept wake by my joints.
Old Goat I'm glad the extension is happening at last. I hope it stays dry. I haven't forgotten my promise!
Enjoy your Sunday everyone.

Good morning all, looks like another lovely day in N Bucks.
Looking forward to seeing the family here for lunch.
As it is my darling * Paw’s* birthday I am unsurprisingly in reflective mood.
How lucky we were to find each other all those years ago (1966) and however much I miss him every day, I realise how privileged I was to spend my life with such a gentle and principled man.
As to his legacy I need only look at our lovely DDs and our wonderful grandchildren, ?

Elrel Sun 16-Sept-18 08:30:33

Grey and breezy in Birmingham. Considering going to a writing memoirs workshop this afternoon.
A GC is 8 today, how the years have flown. I just faced up to being almost 10 x his age ...

Elrel Sun 16-Sept-18 08:33:42

Maw - glad you will be with your family today to think of Paw on his birthday ?

harrigran Sun 16-Sept-18 08:36:00

Good morning from an overcast NE.
Will be returning GD home later in the day but have to oversee homework and music playing first.

Anniebach Sun 16-Sept-18 08:36:39

Good morning Auntyflo and all x

gillybob Sun 16-Sept-18 08:40:54

Good morning Mick and everyone. It’s forecast rain here this morning with the promise of it brightening up later. Nothing much planned for today.

Lucky indeed to find each other Maw and to have had so many happy years together. It’s such a long time to be with someone for them to be suddenly gone. I agree you will see him every time you see your loving family. Enjoy your birthday memories of Paw today flowers

Auntieflo Sun 16-Sept-18 08:46:36

Good morning Mick, Annie hi, you beat me to it. smile
Have just cooked DH a breakfast, a most unusual occurence these days. Well, he is going to be doing the AV for our harvest festival service this morning, so hope he doesn't tear out the little hair he has left.
There is a harvest lunch afterwards, so time to catch up with folks for longer than just the normal coffee time.
Enjoy your day, one and all.

NfkDumpling Sun 16-Sept-18 09:31:29

Morning All

HIgh grey cloud in my bit of the north of Norfolk, and getting quite breezy. I’m quite glad we were able to go for a sail yesterday with DS and DGS (even if DGS is at the “Why?” stage) as it would be too gusty today. A stay at home day ahead for us.

NannyJan53 Sun 16-Sept-18 09:37:55

Good Morning all from a dull and grey Black Country.

We had a lovely trip out on the train to Leamington Spa yesterday, and found a lovely little place for lunch . The weather was lovely and sunny.

Enjoy your birthday memories today with the family Maw he really sounds like a special man.

Sounds like a great few days ahead for your Dora with your family, I am sure you will have great fun.

Enjoy your Sunday everyone.

Good morning everyone, I'm quite new to this - is it ok if I join in the chat? Sunny but slightly breezy day here in Northamptonshire. Meeting a friend for morning coffee and then another for lunch. Wishing you all a lovely day, whatever your plans!
