Good Morning Everyone,
Its a bright sunny start this morning here in brackley , usual Friday shop , mind you when out I tend to shop in Sainsburys in Bicester , and can get things I need sometimes cheaper than the local Waitrose.

Good morning Mick and everybody.
It’s bright but feeling a touch autumnal this morning.
Not a lot planned, hairdresser, coffee with a friend, Ocado delivery - life in the fast lane ?
Wishing you all a pleasant day!

NfkDumpling Fri 24-Aug-18 06:44:23

Morning Mick, Maw and All

A bright clear morning here in the north of Norfolk too after overnight rain. Definitely chillier with that first autumn feel in the air.

The visiting granddogs got me up at 5.30 demanding to go outside but really wanting their breakfast. I frequently wake at that time but much prefer it when I wake in MY time, not someone else’s.

We’ll take them for a long walk today and hopefully they’ll sleep in tomorrow.

Good morning from a fairly bright North Bucks.
Up early to finish packing the caravan. Off for a long weekend with the family.
Hope you all enjoy the bank holiday.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The sun is shining in South Yorkshire. We had rain last night. Early start for us today - we are driving over to mind GS for a couple of hours until he goes to summer school as his mum has ended up working today. After that, I’m not sure how the day will pan out. I hope there will be fish and chips in it somewhere! Have a good day folks.

NanKate Fri 24-Aug-18 07:04:42

Morning Mick and All.

Sunny but cooler in South Bucks.

DH off to the Tip with garden cuttings this morning so an excuse for me to put my feet up and watch something frivolous on my IPad ?

Marydoll Fri 24-Aug-18 07:08:14

Good morning all, definitely cooler here in Glasgow and quite breezy. At least the washing will dry. We always seem to have double the washing the day after our granddaughter has been.
Yesterday was a hard day, as I was feeling a bit rotten after my hospital visit and DGD was particularly "lively". We are indeed blessed.
I was going to have a glass of wine, after her departure, but it apparently is a * No, no" with this medication.
All being well, the extension will be completed by next week. hurrah!?
I'm off to clear out under the sink , ? as the water is going off and the stopcok is in an awkward place. so I'm off out for a few hours.
Kate, we have a lot of rubbish here for the tip, if your husband doesn't mind.?
Have a good day all. Fish and chips sounds good, GD .
Enjoy the bank holiday weekend everyone, it's not one here.☹️

Morning all!

North Leicestershire is fairly bright this morning and there is a lovely breeze.

We are taking Bertie, Persie their mummy to a trampoline Park. I doubt DD3 will be bouncing, being 7 months pregnant and nor will dh and I, being old! Then to the pub for lunch. That's enough for 1 day!!

NanKate Fri 24-Aug-18 07:12:23

Morning Mary and Kitty.

Did you see my final cheeky comment to you yesterday on this thread Kitty ?

NannyJan53 Fri 24-Aug-18 07:24:27

Good morning everyone, after rain overnight it is quite bright and sunny, although I am just back from taking other half to the train station and there is a definite morning chill now!

Not a lot planned today, a chat on the phone to my friend who moved to Stamford last year, then I may clean the windows smile

Make a start on deciding what clothes to pack for our trip to Krakow on Sunday.

Hope you are feeling a bit better today Marydoll flowers

Good morning from a sunny and relatively chilly Colchester. Back from our travels and have 2 grandsons to stay tonight.

Ormond56 Fri 24-Aug-18 07:37:06

Morning all above too quite new to this but I love reading everyone’s comments. I had 2 of my gorgeous gd s to stay over on Wednesday and yesterday so much art and crafty stuff done( which I love) and Barbie dolls scattered all round the house. Such imagination from them both. With nanny and pop dancing to mama Mia in between !! So today a quiet day. DH hasn’t surfaced yet ha ha. Have a nice day everyone.

Gagagran Fri 24-Aug-18 07:40:58

Morning all!

It's a sunny start here on the south coast but with a distinct chill in the air. Definitely a reminder that autumn wil be here before too much longer.

DGD had a major disappointment in her GCSE results yesterday in that her favourite subject. in which she got a grade 9 in her mocks, was graded 5 in the results. The school are having a re-mark done as they cannot understand it. She is coming round to see us this morning for sympathy and a confidence boosting chat. Not really needed as she did pass all her subjects and is a natural optimist!

Hope the day is a good one for us all and includes fish and chips for those so inclined! sunshine

cornergran Fri 24-Aug-18 07:52:05

Morning Mick, Morning All. Cloudy with a chilly wind in our corner of Somerset. Feeling content with the world as I had an unheard of 8 hours sleep. She may not need the confidence boosting but good for your granddaughter to have it anyway gaga, hope the re-mark more accurately reflects her ability. It’s a tough time for the young folk. A faffing day today, may even accomplish something. Hope Friday is kind to everyone.

Brunette10 Fri 24-Aug-18 07:53:22

Morning everyone, it is quite cool here today in NE Fife, sun is out, bit windy too so think we are in for a mixed bag today. Didn't get shopping done yesterday as got visit from DD and DGS. My how toddlers change when they are with their parents. DGS was very different yesterday as to what he is when he is here just with us. Has his mummy wrapped around his little finger. Good your work is nearing completion Marydoll, you will be glad. It's a lot of work but I'm sure it will be worth it all. Shame about your glass of wine though. Hope everyone down south has a good Bank Holiday and the weather is good for you. Have a great Friday everyone.

Panache Fri 24-Aug-18 08:00:53

Good Morning GN`S and what a newsy lot you are and it is always a pleasure to read every morning.

Yesterday`s early sunshine is not being repeated ......yet,but we live in hope!

Have got to show a willing heart as hopefully not only will I have my hair "done" this afternoon but we are viewing two Apartments in a Retired Complex, and although feeling this maybe a step too far it is amazing what some determination manages!

I hope this spot of trampolineening will not bring on an early birth Kitty

A shame after the testing time at the Hospital, and starting new medication Marydoll that you cannot drink to the completed building works.............but there is always later perhaps?!

Some gentleness will certainly be needed Gagagran when your DGD visits and I am sure you will help in rebuilding her confidence.

Brekkers time..........enjoy your day folk.

Auntieflo Fri 24-Aug-18 08:01:47

Morning Mick, Annie and all. It is a beautiful bright and crisp day here. DH also has a run to the tip this morning, must be something in the air. Gaga, I do hope your granddaughter's remark will reflect her ability, such a disappointment when projected results do not appear.
I have a friend coming this afternoon. After my recent surgery I have been blessed with visits, and I do appreciate them. I poped over to see a neighbour yesterday, and came home with serious kitchen envy. Marydoll take it easy, and Grey, I hope fish and chips is on our menu tonight.
Have a good day one and all.

MiniMoon Fri 24-Aug-18 08:10:47

Morning all,
I'm on the train approaching London. We arrive in about an hour. Then it's off on the coach to Tilbury to join the cruise ship. Norwegian Fjords here we come. I've wanted to do this since I was about 10 yrs old. ??

Brunette10 Fri 24-Aug-18 08:13:46

MiniMoon, I am sure you will have a fantastic time. It is beautiful in the Fjords. Sit back and relax, scenery is just gorgeous. If this is your first cruise enjoy, it is so relaxing.

gillybob Fri 24-Aug-18 08:19:51

Good morning everyone. A bright start here on the NE coast.

Fingers crossed ? for a positive remark for you DGD Gagagran this happened to my DD many years ago with Buisness Studies and it worked out well.

So jealous envyof your Cruise around the Norwegian Fjords MiniMoon hope it’s everything you want it to be and more. smile

Have a good Friday everyone.

Mapleleaf Fri 24-Aug-18 08:20:15

Morning all,

A lovely bright but cooler and breezy morning here. As others have said, a slight autumnal feel.
I hope the re-mark brings the result your GD was hoping for Gaga, though many congratulations to her for passing all her exams.

What a shame your medication won't allow you a small drink of wine to celebrate the near completion of your building works and the exhausting ( but lovely) day with your DGD, Marydoll, you'll have to put it on hold a while, but hopefully not for too long!

To you all, gave a lovely day, and enjoy your bank holiday plans if you have any.

DoraMarr Fri 24-Aug-18 08:22:14

Gloriously bright and sunny here in Birmingham. I’m caring for mto 10 month old grandson again today- he sleeps overnight on Thursday, but I didn’t hear a peep from him until 6.30 this morning, and then I was greeted by the biggest smile! He’s had his breakfast and a wash, and I’ve just picked him up for a cuddle. I’ve got my reading glasses on now, and I can see that his face is still covered with rusk!

DoraMarr Fri 24-Aug-18 08:23:52

Forgot to say good morning to everyone, and I hope gcs with exam results are happy- including those having re-marks. Also, ih open all coping with illness/ recuperation/ difficulties have a good day today.

harrigran Fri 24-Aug-18 08:33:48

Good morning from a fairly bright NE.
DH are going out for lunch today, we are celebrating the end of two weeks sitting waiting for parcel deliveries for DS.
Yesterday's dentist visit was fine, no work to be done.

Anniebach Fri 24-Aug-18 08:40:41
