Unbrushed/combed hair

I think that hair brushing is so important , especially when heads are close doing projects and whispering , wee girls do seem a bit disheveled and I wonder when they were last checked for nits. My GC get thorough brushing and washing , and it is just after the start of the new school term that nits appear

If you were walking home it was likely the end of the school day. My four used to leave the house looking immaculate. The girls all had long hair, carefully brushed and plaited before school. They rarely came home like that!

Has anyone else noticed that many children nowadays have hair that looks as though it's never seen a brush or a comb? I've just walked home from town and counted half a dozen primary school aged children whose hair most definitely had not been brushed or combed today.

My grandsons and granddaughter have their hair brushed or combed every morning and my granddaughter also has hers brushed every night. However I know people who rarely brush or comb their children's hair - even on a schoolday. A while ago a group of little girls I was chatting to (all aged 6/7) were telling me they love ballet, but they don't like that they have to have their hair brushed 'that day'. confused
