Good morning from a grey, muggy Colchester. I have been packing as we are off to stay with my parents tonight and are taking them to France tomorrow. We are visiting the grave of my Mum's Uncle who died 100 years tomorrow in WW1. Mum didn't know about him until I researched our tree as her Mum and family never mentioned him.

Good morning Mick, Annie and all who have been early birds and beaten me to it again. Here, it was also a very warm night, but sun is almost through, and there is a cool breeze as I sit here by the kitchen window. Yesterday morning, I had a visit from a friend, who came bearing cake and roses, which she arranged beautifully for me. Otherwise it would have been, flowers, vase, plonk. For all those with a busy day ahead, take it easy, and Marydoll, are you sure you're up to going shopping. Oh, I made two cushion covers yesterday afternoon, and I am quite chuffed with them. The fabric had been sitting about for months.
Have a good day one and all.

A later Good Morning from me.

Hope all goes well for your tests Mick, something that does not get offered here in Wales but having given me a nudge one well worth following up.Sadly our health, and "eye services" here in Wales is antiquated to say the least.

Poor "Marydoll" not very nice but yes the family are having their moment of peace!

Needing this `op sooner rather than later, hence I am not up to speed these days.

Wishing you all a calm and peaceful day.

Good morning, grey and foggy here.
DH and I will be having coffee and cake with sister and BIL this afternoon, she is longing to tell me all about her cruise.
I must buy a bouquet to give her as she was at sea for their golden anniversary and missed out on usual gifts.

Good morning,
Still grey, dull and muggy here, but might brighten up a bit later. Very warm through the night, as greyduster says.
Meeting a friend later for a browse round the shops.
Hope your voice returns soon, Marydoll.
Have a nice day, everyone, whatever you are doing.

Morning Mick and All.

I too feel anxious Mick when I have my pressure and field tests but the reality is that if we do get glaucoma something can be done for us with drops etc.

Poor you Mary any chance you can skip your shopping trip and relax with a warm drink and painkillers ? I suspect you are hoping for a return trip from Dr Kildare ?

Can DH come and play with the kittens too Kitty cats love him ?

Taking 4 WI friends to a Cream Tea at a lovely house and gardens today. I may even wear a dress !

Good morning all, grey but dry in Lancashire. School uniform shopping and lunch in town today. Children's shoes are such a price and they soon grow out of them.
Good luck with test results Mick, I must also make an appointment for an eye test as I cancelled the last one, thanks for reminder Maw.
Have a good day everyone.

Good Morning everyone, it's foggy here in NE Fife today but think it's to clear. Sorry you aren't feeling great Marydoll, signs of the weather change maybe. Hope it doesn't last too long. Off for my pedicure this morning and coffee with a friend in the afternoon, can't quite believe I'm having quite a normal day. Hope all goes well for everyone today - enjoy.

ninathenana Tue 21-Aug-18 07:34:59

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Cloudy in South Yorkshire after a very warm night. Car has to go in for fault finding this morning, then we have tiles to pick up and a light fitting to look for. Hope to find time to call in and have a cup of tea with my niece on the way home. Hope you feel better soon, Marydoll. Have a good day folks.

MawBroon Tue 21-Aug-18 07:15:40

Morning all, a bit grey here in N Bucks but I am sure it will clear.
You have jogged my conscience Mick I too need a glaucoma check, retinal scan etc every year and with all my preoccupations last year when DH died, I realise I am a year overdue.blush So I expect that’s what all those envelopes from the Optometrists were.
I hope your tests go well and that everyone has a pleasant day.

gillybob Tue 21-Aug-18 07:02:32

Good morning Mick kitty marydoll and all to follow.

Another foggy start here on the NE coast, the fog horn has been going all night again. I was on overnight duty last night for the 3 older grandchildren and we are off to the library this morning folllwed by a very rare McDonalds treat lunch. I will be off to work as soon as they are picked up so it’ll be a late finish.

Hope your appointment goes well Mick and you find you manage to find your lost voice Marydoll .

Have a good Tuesday everyone.

Marydoll Tue 21-Aug-18 06:51:45

Good morning Mick , Kitty and all who follow.
I woke up at 5am with a blinding headache and no voice. ( There will be some who will give thanks for my lack of voice! ?
I'm off out to pick up a Click and Collect and do a supermarket shop.☹️
I hope the tests are ok Mick.
Kitty enjoy your visitors.

Morning Mick, morning all.

It's another grey but muggy start in North Leicestershire. My brother is bringing his grandson to torment the kittens this morning. grin

Hope your tests results are good Mick.

Good Morning Everyone,
Its been a bit grey but looking dry as well this morning in brackley.
The Glaucoma monitoring , consists of photos being taken of both eyes , plus a field test, as to the results will get reply in a few weeks .
should the result , need to see a specialist , hope not , will do same thing I gather each year
Basically they are queue cutting .
