Good morning all,

Cloudy and sunny at the moment and considerably cooler than of late. It was much more comfortable for sleeping last night, though.

What a shame you couldn't reverse the scooter out yesterday, Annie. Will you be able to call someone up to do it for you today so that you can have a ride on it? ?.

Not a lot planned for today other than the usual chores.
Enjoy your day, everyone. ?

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. Bit of a mixed bag of weather expected in South Yorkshire today. Food shopping today, housework and ironing. DD and her menfolk are travelling back from their Cornish holiday today, so fingers crossed their long journey back here is uneventful. Have a good day, folks. Keep practicing, Annie - I’m rubbish at reversing too!

Good morning from sunny Colchester. It rained incessantly yesterday so I have shoes, coats and even my handbag out drying in the sun. Rain is due back this afternoon. Much cooler.....

Morning Michael and Anniebach all . Lovely and sunny start here, after a grey and overcast one yesterday. DH woke me up in the night with the shivers. It rained here yesterday evening, so I didn't have to water with the washing up suds.
Gillybob, enjoy your weekend, rain or no rain, but I hope it's dry for you. Have a good weekend one and all.

Anniebach Fri 10-Aug-18 08:35:46

Good morning all x

Rain for Mid Wales today.

Failed to go out on Bluebird yesterday, couldn’t reverse through front door !

Morning Mick, Morning All. Raining in our corner of Somerset, showery day forecast. One granddaughter staying, still asleep smile. Baking this morning then out to a local museum this afternoon, gentle enough day ahead. Hope Friday is kind to everyone.

Well it’s typical I have a very rare long weekend off work and the weather forecast is for rain, rain and more rain . Quite a bit cooler too ☹️☔️

Have a good Friday everyone.

Good morning everyone. Glad to see that all seems well in the world of GN. ( but it isn’t 8.30 yet grin)

Good morning, a little cooler this morning and was surprised to find the heating had switched on.
Expecting parcels so staying home today, need to tidy the study and remove piles of paperwork.

Good Morning all

Bright sunny morning, but definitely cooler in the Black Country.

I have an hair appointment this morning, then take Mum out to lunch. This afternoon meeting up with my ex Manager, then onto DD's to babysit overnight as they are having a night away for their 16th wedding anniversary!

Have a lovely Friday everyone.

Good morning from Birmingham! And it’s a beautiful one, deep blue sky and fluffy clouds. Ten month old grandson very decently didn’t wake up until 7.30. He’s now exploring, ignoring the many toys on the rug for things like houseplants, slippers, the ironing basket.......
Breakfast, then the swings in the park, a nap ( me too?) and after lunch tea and cake with a neighbour.

Morning everyone, dull here today in NE Fife and much cooler of late. Had great time with DGS yesterday, he's such a cutie. Yes I now the feeling Marydoll, I was reminded of how many jackets I have in hall cupboard just recently. Strange I thought (wink). Have great day everyone - Oops can't believe Frasers going into liquidation. Hope they find a solution.

`Morning all.

Another pleasant morning but certainly cooler and the dew ensures everything is coming back up green,so plenty of work in the garden department.

Wales welcomed our boy Geraint Thomas winner of this year`s Tour de France, in style yesterday with a grand reception in Cardiff.......and a big crowd of well wishers.

A very unsettled day after an early morning disturbance in the country...........over 50 beef cattle had "escaped" from pasture land opposite us onto our country road and wandered down where there is a narrow hump backed bridge and a bend, although a quiet road the morning workers rush hour had just started.........it certainly livened the morning!!!No casualties though thankfully.

Have a happy day folks and make the most of this fast fading month of august.......and summer!

Good morning all. Storms in the night and I slept badly. We're away for the weekend, going to a wedding.
Have a good day everyone.

ginny Fri 10-Aug-18 07:22:27

Good morning. The sun is out in N. Bucks but there is a cool breeze and some rain forecast this afternoon.
SW meeting this morning. DH has gone off to play golf so have the day to myself. I think I’llcall at the fabric stall in the market , have lunch and then take myself to watch MM hwga.

Marydoll Fri 10-Aug-18 07:10:37

Morning Gaga.?

Marydoll Fri 10-Aug-18 07:10:12

Good morning Mick, * NFK* and Kitty. Dry in Glasgow at the moment, but heavy rain forecast.
A fun day ahead with DGD and no electricity. We spent an hour last night, cleaning out the glory hole under the stairs, to allow the electrician under the floor today.
Do I really have so may coats and jackets? ?DH was certainly not amused.
Enjoy your day everyone.

Gagagran Fri 10-Aug-18 07:05:37

Morning Mick, nfk, kitty and everyone!

Much cooler here on the south coast and it is forecast to be showery with sunny spells today. Normal summer weather then!

DH was struggling to fit a new motion sensor outdoor light most of yesterday afternoon. He could not get into it to fit a bulb so the operation will be continued today after a night's sleep. Why do instructions never seem to be in simple English with simple illustrations? (This item was made in Germany). Patience will be required - from both of us!

Hope the day is a good one for us all and the visit goes well kitty.

kittylester Fri 10-Aug-18 06:57:33

Morning Mick, morning nfk, morning all.

It's a warmish, brightish start in North Leicestershire but there is rain in the forecast.

Last bit of organising before DD2 and daughters arrive for the week to be done today.

NfkDumpling Fri 10-Aug-18 06:35:29

Morning Mick and All

Blue skies are back here again in Norfolk.

I don’t know whether to be pleased that flying insects seem to be making a come back this year feeding birds and pollinating plants, or annoyed that annoying me again. Buzzing around and messing up the windscreen!

I’ve woken early but the girls are still asleep. They go home today. For a first visit on their own it’s been a success I think.

No, my peace is about to be shattered, just heard a loud bump from upstairs.

Good Morning Everyone,
Its a blue sky start here in Brackley but feels cooler as well, seemed to have got around the flies situation , I brought a Rentokil cassette you get two in a pack so one for main room and kitchen, plus the flower sticky labels as helped.
