Good Morning Friday

A late-for-me Good Morning!

Been busy sorting out a last minute holiday booking and only just got round to GN after doing that, changing the beds, doing the laundry and hanging out the bed linen before the thermostat goes off the scale.

The contractors laid a new, big blue water main in the deep trench outside our house yesterday and we had a note through the door saying the water will be off all day on Tuesday as they tie us all in to the new main. This is all due to the new estate being built in the former beautiful open field opposite us. I am beginning to feel enclosed as the houses go up.

Hope the day is a good one for us all. It is certainly a scorcher here on the south coast!

Good morning Mick, Annie and all. My it was hot here last night! Lovely sunny day here, and another lazy one for me. Off to lunch with a dear friend later, and try and sort out the password on one of my accounts. I got into a tizz with it yesterday and it threw a hissy fit. Good luck to all who are on grandparenting duty. Don't get too frazzled.

Good morning from sunny Colchester. 30 degrees here again today. Have emptied the water butt that filled last Friday already.
Neighbour is here cutting his hedge from our side before it gets too hot. Then it's siesta time until this evening when I'll tidy and water. Got to turn continental on days like today.
Hopefully British Summer will return over the weekend.

Had breakfast in the garden, the best and coolest part of the day.

Good morning all. Overcast in west Wales again this morning, it might brighten up. I took dgd to an outdoor production of Macbeth at St Dogmael's Abbey yesterday evening, it was very good, great setting. Home tomorrow for a rest.

Although extremely humid and hot overnight again the morning repeats yesterday`s............drizzly........the greenery thoroughly enjoys it and yes,the grass and hedgerows are actually growing.

Baking already in Norfolk.

John Lewis floor fitters are coming this morning some time to measure up for a hard floor quote. They’re up against the local firm - which of course does a completely different make and design. We’re confused!

The only gardening I’m doing today Kitty is a bit of dead heading (well cutting back dead stuff) in the shadey bits and watering this evening. Thank goodness for the east’s aquifers as we apparently still have plenty of water. It seems silly that we don’t seem to have the ability to share.

SW and a few jobs this morning and tea and chat with a few friends this afternoon. Dinner with DH and MIL.
Somewhere in between I am trying to finish off a special cushion for DD2.

Have a good recuperation Mary you deserve it. Getting prepared for the invasion of the turbo powered DGSs on Monday. By next Fri morning when they leave I will need an oxygen infusion and to lie in a darkened room for a day or so. ?

Dull here in Glasgow and I'm off out to Glasgow for a few hours to escape. Two days of DGD has taken its toll.?
