Send it immediately after the wedding so you do not appear to be angling for an invitation.

I'd send a gift/vouchers. I don't expect to be invited to everyone's wedding but I like to mark the occasion when I've known the bride or groom for many years. smile

I've received thank you notes with some wedding cake, too - win:win!

Just looking for some advice. The son of some very close friends is getting married next month. We have not been invited to the wedding ,which is fine, we understand how expensive it all is, our own son having got married last year.

When their other son got married a couple of years ago we were invited to his wedding, and gave them a gift of money as a present.

We would like to do the same for this son but feel a little unsure as to whether we should, or if it would be better to just send a card.

Would hate them to feel uncomfortable or feel that because we have sent them a gift, we feel we should have been invited. Thoughts anyone?
Thank you
