They have thousands and thousands of pounds to spend and still all wrong. A high collar and a big print and a flying saucer on your head isnt the way to go.
Cant they go to a personal shopper?

Good lord at that photo of both girls, Chewbacca! shock

Eugenie's dress today is pretty but again, I think it's too short and it looks unbalanced with that frilly pie-neck. Beatrice looks as though she's wearing a mankini in that black and white frock!

Tomorrow I'll be dressing up for my dd's graduation ceremony but hopefully no one will be analysing what I wear, down to the last stitch. wink

think of a colour, look at your shape and go from there.

gillybob Thu 21-Jun-18 21:04:21

I agree oldbatty it’s as though they try too hard. Such a shame because they are attractive young girls .

oldbatty Thu 21-Jun-18 20:59:38

you will,no doubt be surprised to hear I am no Anna Wintour/Kate Moss but a trip to a personal shopper would give them some help with body shape and a few dos and donts.Plus as they generally come as a pair, outfits should go together well.Less is more.

Jalima1108 Thu 21-Jun-18 20:26:38

I think I could do with some underpinnings! grin

Chewbacca Thu 21-Jun-18 20:21:02

Underpinnings! That's a blast from the past!

Jalima1108 Thu 21-Jun-18 20:16:42

Eugenie is a very pretty young woman so it is a pity that she dresses in such a frumpy fashion.

gillybob Thu 21-Jun-18 20:15:53

Merlot your daughter looks fabulous !
Those two might have bags of money but they haven’t got an inch of style between them .

Chewbacca Thu 21-Jun-18 20:15:42

She does indeed look amazing! I still think the pie frill, floral number is frumpy. grin

Gagagran Thu 21-Jun-18 20:14:57

I always think Beatrice and Eugenie need some better underpinnings - especially decent bras. They do not dress to suit their shape and I am really surprised that they have not sought advice on what would suit them.

It must be hard to be continually mocked in the media so I do feel a bit sorry for them but they don't really help themselves.

Jalima1108 Thu 21-Jun-18 20:12:58

hmm
Eugenie's hat is OK but the dress is awful
Beatrice - well!

I expect your DD managed to look lovely for a fraction of the price merlotgran!

They are old pictures though, Chewbacca. I think they looked much nicer today.

The Queen looks amazing.

Chewbacca Thu 21-Jun-18 19:49:57

Merlot your DD looks absolutely lovely, perfect for Ascot. Could you not lndsome advice to B & E so that they dontkeep making the same mistakes?

SueDonim Thu 21-Jun-18 18:22:03

I think it's very odd how they seem to get it so wrong. They look presentable enough, as my mother would say, and the outfits are usually okay as well, but putting the two together never seems to work and it never quite hits the spot. I do think they never quite get their hemlines right, either too long and swoopy or too short - they don't have good knees!

merlotgran Thu 21-Jun-18 18:16:52

Oh it did...Sorry.

merlotgran Thu 21-Jun-18 18:16:31

So why hasn't the pic come up when it did on preview?

merlotgran Thu 21-Jun-18 18:15:21

DD was there today. The one on the right in pink. As her racing manager I think I'll ask for a percentage of her winnings grin

gillybob Thu 21-Jun-18 18:00:27

I’ve never seen anything wrong with the way SF dresses which is a lot more than I can say for her 2 daughters . Their outfits sometimes remind me of the ugly sisters at a Cinderella panto .

Important note ( before anyone jumps down my throat) : I am not calling them ugly .

Anniebach Thu 21-Jun-18 17:20:49

It would explain much if they did ask her

merlotgran Thu 21-Jun-18 17:18:20

Ask their mother?? Fergie???

Anniebach Thu 21-Jun-18 17:16:19

To be fair, if they like what they wear why would they think of advisors, and quite possibly if unsure they would ask their mother . Princess Anne has never given a fig about fashion.

merlotgran Thu 21-Jun-18 16:50:59

To be fair I think Beatrice's hat really suits her and the top of the dress is stylish but the white skirt should have been left alone and not had that very unflattering black whateveritis down the front.

Panache Thu 21-Jun-18 16:38:35

I know these two truly amaze me by their lack of style, surel.y a chip off their mother,Fregie!!!

With all the money.......... and thereby stylists to call upon ..........you would think they would have learnt by now to lean on others, to direct them into the style and colours to wear for these big occasions.
I have long ago given up feeling sorry for them.......I class them as Cinerella`s ugly sisters, which is very unfair I know,as they have decent looks, lovely hair and figures are fine.........................but they were certainly last in the queue when finery was handed out!!!

I await this wedding in October and sincerely hope they have brought in people whom can direct them both, although one is certainly more in need than the other!!!

merlotgran Thu 21-Jun-18 16:29:05

Yayyyyyy!! Good old Frankie's just won me £20 grin

merlotgran Thu 21-Jun-18 15:38:15

I presume you're talking about Royal Ascot?

I think Eugenie looks lovely but I don't like Beatrice's dress with whatever that black thing is dangling down the front.
