I don't mean the odd small bottle when you're out, but the other day I saw someone lugging home on the bus a really heavy mega-pack of the big bottles, presumably to drink at home.
I can understand it if your tap water tastes horrible - I've tasted awful, chlorine-y water in a US city - but this was just down the road from me and our water tastes fine - to us, anyway.
When bottled water became fashionable in the UK we were living in the middle of the Abu Dhabi desert. Our water came in a bowser - it came out of the tap hot, thick and brown. I had to filter it, then boil and cool it, and keep it in the fridge.
We were open mouthed on that first visit home after bottled water became a Thing, to see people paying 1000s of times over for what came out of the tap clean and cold and perfectly good to drink.
What a difference a day makes 😢😢
Unbelievable What I've Just Read
We should just be pushing for better tasting tap water1
