Maw I read Northanger Abbey for O Level, that takes me back. Also Bluebelle I haven’t heard the lovely expression ‘changes on a sixpence’ since my childhood, what a happy memory. ?

Gillybob I would love to go on a Zoo Keeper experience day. What fun.????

At the moment it's overcast in N Kent but for the last few days it has changed in the blink of an eye. 27c in my car yesterday afternoon.

Sorry you had an unsettled night Marydoll. If I lived near Glasgow I would meet you for a coffee. From the age of about 10 I have gone alone or with friends for morning coffee. I love chatting with friends or just people watching. ☕️

I usually decide at the last minute if I'm going to go out. It all depends on my pain and fatigue levels and how quickly I can get moving! The lure of the sales (I do not need any more clothes!) has got me moving, it's a miracle cure!
I may have missed the train, as I keep dipping into GN.

Good old Waitrose cafe is my usual haunt but I find it hard to resist the almond ? croissants so I usually get my free “disposable” cuppa and try to sneak into a corner pretending I am just an old dear who needs a sit down!
I have also <whisper>been known to glance at the DM (I mean Guardian of course!)

I am reminded of meeting my friend last week when we both commented on the fact that we had been delivered a copy of the DM by the newsagent, the DT hadn't been delivered to him.
My friend's very "true blue* and set in his ways husband, asked her to get him some rubber gloves to allow him to pick up the DM and put it in the bin.
I did read mine and could find no meaningful content at all, it was all adverts.

Slept in this morning due to the humid night being disturbed by a stiff breeze. Feel like I haven't slept a wink.
DH has decided we are going to fix a broken fence today, so I am missing Wednesday coffee meetup to assist....ie.make his coffee for frequent breaks.

I went to my follow up appointment at fracture clinic yesterday, only to find out that the reason my ankle is so painful is that I have a non-displaced fracture of my ankle as well as the metatarsal fracture and ligament damage ????

No gym for 8 weeks Doc advised, but I am going to speak to my Pilates instructor to see if I could participate in some of the class, as going stir crazy with no exercise (not that I am a gym bunny, but having gone 3 times a week for 19 years it becomes a habit).

Clouding over now in S E Essex, Bering breezy looks like we might get a shower.

Oh it is light Annsixty but for a free read/look at the shock horror headlines and pics.....
Mind you I do like the Guardian on Fridays for the theatre reviews!

However I know others faring so much worse and my thoughts go out to you ...Grannygravy you are certainly in need of a gentle hug, as does Marydoll Harrigan.....and all feeling "under the weather"

I think we all need a day out in the sunshine and let the sun`s warmth seep into our very beings!!

Well I am a regular DM reader and the I newspaper.

The medical advice in the DM on a Tuesday is second to none. DH says the financial pages are good. Garfield always makes me laugh. Some of the headlines are truly rubbish. Sarah Vine a good read and I can’t think of the un-pc writer a chap in his 50s/60s who writes a page once a week. He is hilarious.
