Underwired bras

Miss Mary of Sweden underwired bras suit me very well - I'm not particularly well endowed but enough to need a good bra. To be honest I never think about my bra once I've put it on though occasionally I look in the mirror and find I'm drooping a bit - then it's time to buy a new one - or two!

I can’t wear under wired bras now, dig in too much. Best to go and get measured I did, and it’s the best thing never done.

I had a cast made of mine years ago. And made into book ends for ex Hubby's bird books. A tit at each end of books of tits. And blackbirds !!! Lol

I hate them. Unless you are very lucky, they dig in. What I hate most is how little choice there is of non wired bras.

Lol hammocks. I remember dawn French said hers could be a hat or a bucket.

Underwired kill me I ve made the mistake of thinking they ll be ok and they end up at the charity shop after one try but non wired are so bloody ugly never find a pretty one We dont need plain hammocks they can be low cut they can have lace and flowers, just no flipping wire

Playtex cross your heart I have four bras by them. You can still get online but I haven't bought for four years. Tho mine is more hike up and separate Lol. But they are comfy. And agree how to put them on to lean forward and let them fall into cups.
And making sure both nipples are symmetrical.
The moulded bras make me feel I am an f cup and don't really support my boobs fully.

SuDonim I assume it was inserted deliberately but probably while under the influence of drink or drugs. Poor girl had a history of self harm. Memorable because so unusual, sad and awful.

Paw used to buy me lovely Lejaby matching sets.
Sadly going up a dress size or three meant that they no longer fitted.
I can’t afford to replace them on my own.

No problem for me with wired bras but I can’t stand padded ones. They make me feel as if I have two cushions stuck on !

I can't say I've ever had a problem with an underwired bra. What infuriates me is that it's really hard to find a pretty bra that isn't padded if you're less than a DD cup

So do I Clementine, I'm a 36DD and the fantasie Belle is a great fit. John Lewis have a large selection.

Another one who is a bit more fully endowed, I like the fantasie Belle.

Before underwired bras my Mum had Playtex cross your heart bras.
They lifted and separated (according to the adverts)
I presume they worked quiet well.
Not sure if they are still available.

I don't like them I am a dd e cup
And the worst ones are these moulded bras in this weather.
Too hot too sweaty
I am still able to go braless given right top with little support unless I want to broadcast them with a sway Lol
Underwired just bane of my life and boobs
For everyday stuff I have soft sports bra or I have the trad Playtex ones. So comfy and do u remember lift and separate lol.
And I have a couple of balcony bras. Lucky I can wear them for hours and still feel great. Tho can't see my feet

Bravissimo do an excellent fitting service. I can't feel their underwired bra that I have on at the moment.

You also need to put your bra on properly. Lean forward to allow your boobs to fall(!) into the cup and fasten it. Then with your hand scoop each boob inwards from the side toward the centre and finally separate your cleavage. That ensures the wires aren't pressing into the flesh.

MOMB do expand on the bra wire story, if privacy rules permit. Did she insert it deliberately or did it get in by accident?

I appear to have lots of bits of other people's bodies eg big boobs, small back, waist, big bum, short arms and sturdy thighs.

I am 34D/E cup and do not like underwired bras. Even if they are fitted correctly I find them uncomfortable and for years I have worn Berlei bras (classic) non-wired which have a band of cross over elastic underneath for support and stretchy sides with flexible plastic bones for shape and support.

Hello oldbatty. My friend's Mum always used to wear Triumph Doreen bras. Kath had a larger bust and looking at some of the reviews on Amazon it seems that these bras would lift them skywards.
I live in Bristol and there is an absolutely marvellous shop in Keynsham called Perfect Fit - they do a grand job of measuring and advising.

can anybody recommend a good non wired one which lifts them skywards please?

It has to be underwired for me (38GG) but I hate them and the exorbitant price of a good one. They are the first thing off when I get home - good thing Mr C doesn’t need to see my knees anymore!??
