The sun shone.

Not realising how hot it was we set out on an overambitious long walk. Then, just as we were both flagging, bemoaning the fact there was nowhere to sit down and we were a long way from home, some friends of ours appeared in their car and we got a lift back home.

I have just been out for a row in our tiny boat.- just lovely as it's not so hot now.

2. Did some gentle gardening - deadheading etc.

1.Cut own hair and it looks better than when the hairdresser does it!
2. DH cooked a wonderful meal for us today.
3.Next doors fat ginger cat went to sleep in our catmint, it flattened it all but it looked so cute blissfully sleeping with one paw on it’s head and appeared to be smiling, that we left it alone.?

Beautiful weather again.
Food shopping cost half what it normally does because I've got enough in the cupboards already.
Started looking at a holiday in September.

SpanielNanny Sun 03-Jun-18 21:55:36

I enjoyed a leisurely cup of coffee in a local cafe this morning

My dil sent me the most adorable picture of my 1 year old dgs ‘helping’ her sort the washing hamper.

I made a small Sunday Lunch for myself - a real treat.

Had an unexpected invitation to go to a beer festival with DS and family.

1. Even though I travel a lot to do voluntary work, I went alone on the train (from Kent) to Nottingham ostensibly to see a comedian I'd seen on an internet clip who seemed funny.
2. Stayed at an Airbnb and loved using my bus pass to travel all over the city, including a Polish restaurant I'd seen on TripAdvisor - well worth the journey.
3. Found comedian extremely offensive and I walked out in the middle of the show!! And don't think it was just my age - it was beyond the pale.

SueDonim Mon 04-Jun-18 18:39:37

Your No3 doesn't sound too happy, Schnackie!

1 Chatted to my dc loads online.
2 I've made a good sour dough loaf - at last!
3 Had coffee in my favourite independent coffee shop.

SpanielNanny Mon 04-Jun-18 18:50:12

I picked up a new book to read from the library.

I had a lovely granny nap this afternoon.

It’s cool enough outside that I’ve been able to use my slow cooker to make a delicious casserole (one of the few perks of the miserable weather)

loopyloo Mon 04-Jun-18 19:05:51

Schnackie, congratulations on walking out!. Good for you.

loopyloo Mon 04-Jun-18 19:09:44

My 2 new books arrived. Meet me at the Museum and the Art of Falling Apart.
Cut some peonies and have become intoxicated with the things.
Made a small bobble with my DGDs new bobble kit.

2. A man who should have gone to Specsavers took me for DGS's mum.
3. Came home to find my copy of the latest GN Book Club book on the mat, instead of the cat's usual offering.

Auntieflo Mon 04-Jun-18 19:29:44
