A friend tells me that apparently the world was due to end last Monday - something to do with an invisible planet hitting us or something. I was busy on Monday so I think I must have missed it. Hope everyone is OK grin

Jalima1108 Fri 27-Apr-18 14:21:32

I missed it too, although I thought I felt a bit of a bump!!

Was that when it was supposed to have happened - I'd forgotten all about it

Jalima1108 Fri 27-Apr-18 14:22:56

ps was it an asteroid?

There will be another one along in about 117 years apparently, if you missed this one.

Oldwoman70 Fri 27-Apr-18 14:30:43

Not sure Jalima my friend said she read it in a newspaper a couple of weeks ago - I'm a bit annoyed that she didn't warn me. I could have prepared by making a tin foil hat and hiding under the table

Jalima I have a feeling I may miss the next one. I obviously survived last week's.

Oh, bother! I missed it too. I was busy hanging out the washing.

Ah, the mysterious planet Nibiru.
Here is an article from The Sun, personally, I don't believe a word of what they print.

Well, if someone is predicting date etc then you just know that isn't going to happen! grin

Well, the Earth didn’t move for me - but then it seldom does these days ?!

Nothing here unless we are living in a parallel universe now.

A well known religious sect told me the world was going to end in 1964. I was terrified as I had young babies then.
Nothing happened, so I've ignored all such predictions ever since.
Anyway, nothing unusual happened here last Monday, apart from seeing a rabbit in the garden.

Remember the men with the sandwich boards who used to walk the streets?

Let's arrange it again for next week then at least we can all be ready, what day do you fancy?

OldMeg Sun 29-Apr-18 06:07:40

Not Tuesday please I’m having my hair done!

M0nica Sun 29-Apr-18 07:06:40

Make it the week after. I am off to Spain on Tuesday for a week, thanks to the free ferry ticket I won on Gransnet. It would be shame not to be able to use my prize.

Situpstraight Sun 29-Apr-18 07:30:01

Well, let me know, I won’t bother to clean the house and mow the lawn.

kittylester Sun 29-Apr-18 07:36:24

Well, that's a waste of the new garden chairs!

Menopaws Sun 29-Apr-18 22:30:34

Actually I've a good wedding to go to end of June so can we delay until July, bit of a cheek I know but I've already bought the dress

Lynnebo Mon 30-Apr-18 06:25:22

I think I’ve survived quite a few ‘end of the world’s. I remember ringing the local radio station breakfast show in the late 80s when I was getting 3 children ready for school and the dj kept rabbiting on about that day being the last day. I told him off because it was upsetting the children. He told me he wasn’t entertainment, he was a news program, but after the next record he apologised on air and dropped the subject!

M0nica Mon 30-Apr-18 08:08:55

We have a big event at the beginning of August to celebrate our Golden wedding, so not before late August please

glammanana Mon 30-Apr-18 08:20:31

Can we wait until July please when the winner of the local front garden competition is announced I have just filled up my front garden and baskets ready for the photographs.
