Just wanted to say my knickers are bit tight. I must be moving towards that stone in weight I have been longing for . Arms still scrawny, bust still missing but I have a bum ?

Gilly 1952; Reading between your lines I believe I'm "that bloke". grin
Normally I don't deign to respond to that "title". I'm "that gentleman", (as confirmed by MawBroon elsewhere.) wink
And I don't agree that my posts are controversial, but you are free to regard them that way if you so wish.
They are a product of my mind, which by implication must be weird if they appeal to your weird sense of humour. grin grin
They are always intended to be light-hearted and follow John McEnroe's beseeching cry "You can't be serious"!
The reason for my temporary absence comes down to my initial shock of seeing this subject actually aired in public. Especially me being a gentleman! shock

Social mores in the UK must have changed significantly since I left 47 years ago. Liberated by PCs and the Internet, no doubt
But have no fears; I'm not planning to go away just yet. smile Posting is good exercise for what grey cells are left, but if I'm banned as you imply I'll be mortified. sad
As a matter of fact, I have another "controversial" post in the pipeline, so you judge how weird.
Watch out!

BTW; All the above must be treated lightheartedly, if you haven't already guessed. grin

Good Health

Aww. Glad Phoebe is getting used to her new life. It sounds like SIL and daughter are very considerate and caring.

It's amazing how quickly an eating disorder can take hold Annie. I think anxiety and worry of any kind, illness and then heartache, all play havoc with our diets and eating patterns. You have been through the mill. I hope the bigger knickers are a sign of you being able to move onwards and upwards, slowly. We'll all be rooting for you.

Day6 Wed 25-Apr-18 18:34:30

Yay! Glad you are beginning to join the Big Bloomers club. Good news! smile (Wish I could wear smaller knickers!)

Jalima1108 Wed 25-Apr-18 18:28:56

It sounds as if Phoebe rules the roost! grin
Your SIL must be a real softie

Anniebach Wed 25-Apr-18 18:17:40

Right, I have an eating disorder , brought about by a perforated ulcer followed by gallstones followed by IBS, was advised - don't eat this, that and the other. Fearful of having all that pain I restricted my diet, this led to the eating disorder . Trying to gain that stone I started introducing foods, then my darling girl became so very ill seventeen months ago, acid reflex started , when she died in .November I couldn't eat. Lost more weight, was prescribed Ensure , so much stress the eating disorder took hold again and arthritis flared badly. For several months I only eat rice cakes with butter and honey, always have a lot of honey , have milk and the Ensure, not a diet I would advise anyone tries. Come summer I will tackle the eating disorder yet again but with my daughters death, the funeral to arrange, the inquest and my sisters playing up, Lottie having cancer, giving up Phoebe, fear of the bridge the agoraphobia struck

Even so, I have bought size 10 knickers ?

Must tell you about Phoebe, daughter has three dogs, all well trained , Phoebe been there a week, refused to get in the back of the car with the other dogs or on her own, son in law decides - awww she is only a baby, buys a harness , when they take the dogs to another part of the fens for their morning walk, three dogs in the, rear, son in law in back seat , daughter driving and Phoebe ? In the front seat in her car harness grin

Wish I could send you a few of my extra pounds.smile

Willow500 Wed 25-Apr-18 17:03:58

Hey that's great news Annie - if only I could get into size 10 knickers again grin. Really pleased to hear that the reflux has finally stopped - you must feel so much better so whatever the Ensure is it's working well for you.

Glad to hear Phoebe has settled into her new home too - sounds like she's having a wonderful time and giving your daughter and SIL the run around smile

Well done Annie.. catching up eh?smile

Marthajolly1 Wed 25-Apr-18 16:30:28

I never had a big bum, but hips were a bit curvy. Now it's starting to sag as I lose muscle tone in the rump and trousers/jeans starting to look baggy.

lemongrove Wed 25-Apr-18 16:21:27

Good news Annie though you have a long way to go to rival my bum, haha.Keep it up and you will be a size 12 before you know it.
Panache good luck with future op.smile
Shysal is that your very own tiny knicker selection a blowin’ in the wind?

Panache Wed 25-Apr-18 16:15:32

Anniebach........as a new comer it has not taken me too long in piecing parts of your sad story together, and now hearing of your weight loss...........and recovery....... is indeed uplifting news.
Hearing too that Phoebe has settled in well must help you in knowing your sacrifice was certainly the best thing for her, even though of course, extremely painful for you.
Whilst hearing you too take Ensure plus I have to ask you which flavour do you best enjoy?
I love the chocolate as it tastes almost like Cadbury`s milk chocolate!!
I am thinking of trying the Peach because I love the fruit so well worth testing it out.
I was advised by my hospital consultant to try 4 a day although this is quite a marathon. We get ours via amazon which makes it a lot less expensive though should have it on prescription next.
My loss of weight is a totally differing story and on second thoughts I am sorry for adding it onto your posting.......slowly I am learning this great site is different than others I have been on!
Keep up the good work Anniebach ........I shall say cheers when next I drink my Ensure Plus!!

Barmeyoldbat Wed 25-Apr-18 16:14:47

Well done Annie, can I ask what your diet was as I am trying to increase my bum so my trousers look better and stay put.

Anniebach Wed 25-Apr-18 14:21:33

Thank you all. I bored everyone so much last year with my weight loss and my goal to gain a stone and get into size 10 clothes. Not in size 10 trousers yet but in size 10 knickers when they arrive, ordered them this morning,

I got so weary of the pressure to eat more , acid reflux etc, little appetite, then when my daughter died , no appetite.

Have just had my monthly delivery of Ensure Plus from the Chemist, 121 bottles , suppose to have 4 a day , looked on their site and it says 3 a day so unsure about upping to 4,

Don't get acid reflux now ? . The Ensure has taken away some stress, what to eat, counting calories to check I was having enough .

Wondering if my weight would have increase more if I hadn't raced around with my hyper active Phoebe.

She loves her new home, younger dsughter no longer calls her Verucca Salt, calls her Duracell Bunny, son in law calls her Beep Beep after Road Runner ?

grandtanteJE65 Wed 25-Apr-18 13:45:49

Many a mickle makes a muckle, Annie. Now your bum is filling out, I feel sure the rest will follow. Arms and legs are for some odd reason always last to put on weight, and as you know our bosom resists as long as b. possible. But a good padded bra can make a world of difference to how you feel.

Perhaps you should treat yourself to a new bra when you go shopping for new knickers in the right size.

kittylester Wed 25-Apr-18 13:44:09

Nanny41 you need to use square brackets [ ]!

Annie, I don't know your tiny bum story but I gather congrats are in order, hope you get cheekier by the day

Nanny41 Wed 25-Apr-18 12:36:32

Sorry Annie couldnt send flowers in the text,it didnt work!

Nanny41 Wed 25-Apr-18 12:35:44

Great news Annie,well done.(flowers)

pen50 Wed 25-Apr-18 12:27:31

Sheilasue, firstly check that you really are 38G. There is a reddit called "ABraThatFits" which has an online calculator - you have to take 5 or 6 measurements in various positions and then it recommends your best bra size (which I find corresponds pretty closely with M&S.) I went up two cup sizes and down a band size as a result, and look miles better. Then get yourself to a branch of Bravissimo, which caters exclusively for D and above. I'm sure you will find some lovely bras there, and if your size isn't in stock it can be ordered.

craftynan Wed 25-Apr-18 12:11:39

Well done, Annie flowers

chicken Wed 25-Apr-18 12:09:40

Anniebach, long may your knickers be tighter and tighter!

DanniRae Wed 25-Apr-18 11:53:46

Delighted for you Annie!!
I had a knicker related triumph today too. A while ago I bought a pack of knickers from a well known supermarket - my usual size 10 (NOT TRUE) and they were a little tight. Looking for some to pack for my forth coming holiday I thought I'd try them on again and they FITTED. Well I am test driving a pair today to make sure they are ok and so far so good!! grin

Gilly1952 Wed 25-Apr-18 11:45:30

Ha! I’m surprised that bloke who comes onto here and writes his controversial posts hasn’t made a comment about knickers or women’s body parts! Have we finally scared him off, or has he been banned? Personally, I thought most of his comments were quite funny, but then that’s just my weird sense of humour!

NemosMum Wed 25-Apr-18 11:45:17

Good for you Annie! flowers
