15 years!!!

My son and his family are going to India for Christmas and as my dil knows I have always wanted to go he face timed me and asked if I wanted to join them. I was reluctant to agree straight away as it was Christmas and I knew it would be difficult to have my dog and horse looked after.
Thinking it over I decided I would regret it if I didn't go so facetimed my darling son to tell him.His response has had me chuckling all week "Great ,you must do it whilst you can remember it and you know you will be dead in 15 years
.Cheeky sod but he's probably right!

I’ve always said I would live to 100, confident that I’d be hale and hearty and enjoying life.
Centenarians are now so numerous that I’ve had to revise my date of death up a few years. Sadly I now know many old people who are ill, feeble or ga-ga and know I’ll probably be the same. It’s depressing how your strength and stamina drain away and you hurt in so many places.
Grab this exciting opportunity, * lovingit* and make memories for your dotage.

Glad to hear it starlily - I am the 'new' 50 in July - so I have to say that I really like these 'new' ages!! grin

Oh, you must go! My DH and I went to Canada last year on the train through the Rockies with an upgrade on the flights and on the train; this had been a longheld dream of ours and I can remember DH suggesting it suddenly out of the blue last Easter. It was really expensive, but so worth it, an experience of a lifetime. My DH died in February....I am so glad we did it.
