I can beat that, I've just been on the cross channel ferry and was invited up to the bridge to meet the captain! Sat in his chair and wore his hat and got to steer his rudder, so there! I also invited him to the Argy but he was last seen running off the ferry into Calais so maybe not

I do wonder what scared the captain so much, that he felt the need to scarper?

Funny story, we only got to Calais but didn't get off then came back! Yes I know bit odd but was an educational visit for staff at work and I tagged along so no Frenchmen to get my claws into, sorry ladies!

I went on the ferry, I went in sight of Calais, I went on the bridge and spoke to the captain, then I went to the duty free and got two bottles of port, so only slight exaggeration Lemon but wasn't it fun?!

I often laugh when reading comments on GN ( but usually on the political threads) and on here of course in the dear old Argy, DH gives me a quizzical look now and then.

Anyway...back to business, we have a large order of sausagerolls coming in tomorrow morning ( surplus from Greggs) only a few days out of date and a bargain! Whoever opens up tomorrow, slip the driver a fiver will you?Then heat them up for 15 mins , they will sell like hot cakes ( or lukewarm snacks.)
