I think we need cider in the bar in this weather - poteen doesn't rehydrate. Kegs are probably better than bottles so that the admiral doesn’t have weapons to hand. Anyone know a local farmer who brews his own?

Old farmer Giles has a big orchard , with enormous apples, according to local rumours, so perhaps we could ask him

meno if you really have hurt your foot don't think that it can't be broken because you can walk on it because it could still be broken. Get the Hans to take you to A&E (I just want you to have a plaster cast so I can write some rude lovely things on it )

Agony, waiting for co codamol to kick in. Going to a and e first thing, couldn't go tonight cos no one to drive me but I will def spread the word to all the young medics about the Argy I promise but if they run away I won't be able to catch them unless I lasso them.

Meno, all joking aside. I walked on a broken foot for 6 months before a scan showed two fractures. It caused long term problems. Get yourself to A&E in the morning.?

I say I can walk on it but not very well, just touch heel down not the rest so don't worry I'll be off there before we go to work tomorrow, thanks for your concern

It's not broken although they spotted a tiny line they were not sure about but it's seriously jarred and cos the joint has arthritic tendencies the little bony growths have all been smashed together and grated causing inflammation and pain. Got today and weekend off sick which I hate doing and I was all brave until I sat down waiting for husband to collect me then I couldn't move at all so I gave in.
Because we were at hospital so early there was only a small selection of medics ladies so I've let you down there, I can only apologise. I will hobble in later for some medicinal whisky
