Agus It's all true. We are a fascinating group of Grans. Talk about busy...I've just this minute washed the floors (of paint splashes) and bunged a dust sheet (smothered in paint samples) into the washer. It's been a long afternoon spent with the roller attached to the pole. A shade more labour saving than yesterday's tussle with a well-worn paint brush that was most def way too small. Even if I say so m'self, I've done a sterling job. Not finished by a long way but, there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Apart from the utility room and kitchen and skirting boards and architraves and the front inside door (all painted and looking good) there is only one thing that needs a bloody good wash. Me! And, dare I say, the shower is still non-operational. I've to strip off and wash myself from head to toe with a well-soapy face cloth. How undignified is that?

The exercise bike will not be required this afternoon. I'm bushed and ready to enjoy the evening ahead. My thoughts are with you. I shall do my best to return to the kitchen sometime tomorrow.

Just returned from a very satisfactory foray to the shops. A large department store is closing it's gift section, everything half price. Not only got what I wanted for my friend's special birthday but also purchased some Chxxxxxx gifts and a birthday present for another friend. Smug? Me? Never . Also hapened upon a black sweater that actually fits with 75% off and a much reduced camera case for Mr C.

I'm very impressed with your day soop, more than active and lovely to have the satisfaction of a job well done.

I have never cooked a joint of lamb so pleased others were able to help. Really dislike lamb and I have a principle, if I don't eat it I don't cook it. Mr C cooks himself small pieces of lamb now and again, so he doesn't mind too much.

Weather report for charley. It was throwing it down when we left, drove into some sunshine which we seem to have brought back with us. An almost balmy 15 degrees according to the car. I even felt too warm when we were out, can't recall the last time that happened.

A restorative cuppa now before a 'proper' tea (sandwich type and yes, there will be cake - GF chocolate if anyone wants some) with a restorative glass to look forward to later.

My lovely neighbour’s husband has assembled and st up my Nilfisk for me but I was out all afternoon in my glad rags so I haven’t had an opportunity to play with it properly.
Should I use some sort of patio cleaner? The slabs are pretty mucky and I am itching to get going. May even ignore the rain forecast for tomorrow! Watch this very clean space!

I had mine cleaned professionally last week and he did not use any cleaner.

We have a JCB cleaner but have never used anything but water.
It is the most satisfying thing to do, you will wonder where all the filthy water goes, into the borders, I suspect.

I forgot to mention that he filled all of the gaps with kiln sand and said that had to be done after each power clean otherwise the weeds to grow between again.

My entire rear garden has been paved but he filled the front path with sand also.

We DH doesn't use cleaner, Maw - enjoy!

I'll have a piece of gf cake, corner! I'm in dire need! I love lamb and my treat when cooking for myself is a lamb steak fried with bacon, shallots and white wine.

I need a bit of hand holding as Bertie is in hospital again with an asthma attack! I hate not knowing and, of course, dd is more concerned with keeping her partner in the loop.

Glad you are now ready to go with the Nilfisk Maw. We didn't use any detergent and it worked brilliantly and our flags and paths were definitely mucky! They did need hosing off once done with the patio scrubbing brush attachment but look so good once dry! Good luck!

Good news to share.

The earring I thought was lost has been found. Mr C was right and it was indeed here, hiding under the bathroom sink. Definitely don’t mind that he looks oh so pleased with himself . Weight has lifted and I’m beaming. Good day all round.

You are so fortunate that you have found it and yes, it is a big weight off your mind. It does not matter if Mr.C is grinning from ear to ear!
